The Federal Government has set up a panel to work out modalities for the implementation of the recommendations of the Presidential Committee on  Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North, NaijaSharpNews sources have reported. Vice-President Namadi Sambo disclosed this on Saturday at the first annual conference of the Ahlus-sunnah of Nigeria organised by the Izalatul Bid'a wa Ikamatus-Sunnah at the Tafawa Balewa Square,  Lagos.

The police in Kwara State, northcentral Nigeria, have arrested Elizabeth Eze, a resident of Chikanda in Baruten Local Government Area, for allegedly stabbing her younger brother, Emeka, to death.The suspect, who hails from Enugu State, eastern Nigeria, was said to have stabbed Emeka over a minor disagreement on Sunday, 9 February.
