3 Elderly Nuns Raped, Brutally Murdered in Burundi

Sad sad sad ..... what did it profit the rapist to kill women who brought nothing but good to the community.....Three elderly nuns were raped and brutally killed in their convent in the capital of Burundi.

According to AFP, two nuns Olga Raschietti, 83, and Lucia Pulici, 75 were stabbed to death on Sunday afternoon. The killer then battered one of the two with a rock, before fleeing the convent.

The third nun, Ms Boggia, aged 79 found the pair and raised the alarm. But in the early hours of Monday morning, she was killed, her body beaten and head hacked off.

The Indian woman found with overgrown nails and torn clothes could not open her eyes in the sunlight.And she wept inconsolably when her daughter did not recognise her.

Such a sad day for Lawma officials. A hit-and-run driver of a jeep knocked down two highway managers of the Lagos State Waste Management Agency on Monday along Iyana Oworo Expressway in the state.

Punch learnt that although the driver managed to escape, the vehicle’s number plate fell in the process and had been handed over to security officials.It was gathered that the driver, who was on top speed, wanted to beat the traffic snarl when he rammed into the victims, identified as Lateefat Sulyman and Fatimoh Ajetunmobi.

Sulyman (popularly called Iya Tawa) was crushed to death while Ajetunmobi was said to have been rushed to ahospital.
