Dangote Cement Recently announced a slash in its cement price, from N1700 per bag to N1000 per bag. And Sola Salako's take on the new price slash.

  

“I hear Dangote just singlehandedly, crashed the price of cement to N1,000 from N1,700! Obviously, this is another move in the attempt to stifle competition coming on the heels of getting SON to re-grade cement classification in its favour via political patronage.

While this seems like a benefit for consumers in the short term, I fear it is very inimical to growth in that sector in the long term. The few competing brands may eventually close down if they don’t survive the price war after emerging bruised from the pseudo classification battle. More unemployment looms…

Charles Amon Mihayo, 36, has pleaded guilty to murdering four-year-old Savannah and three-year-old Indianna on Easter Sunday. Mihayo dressed the girls in ballerina dresses and filmed them dancing to 'Let It Go' from the movie Frozen before smothering them with a pillow, bathing and redressing them and then calling police.

There was ongoing hostility between Mihayo and his ex-wife regarding access to the children, and he was filled with rage when he found out the girls' mother had a new partner, and killed the girls as revenge.

CAN warns Investigators--- Treat T.B Joshua with Respect

                       

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the South-West has urged the investigators of the Synagogue building collapse to treat Pastor T. B. Joshua with dignity and respect.

Sun reports that during a press conference on the state of the nation in Lagos,Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, warned against any attempt to use the incident to clamp down on other churches in Lagos by over zealous government officials, who had been harassing churches for building approvals.
