Olugbenga Ashiru, a former minister of foreign affairs has died in a South African hospital today. Family members who confirmed his death said he died of brain tumour in the South African hospital.

The Channel O 2014 music awards has come and gone and three of our Nigerian artistes, Tiwa Savage, Kcee and Olamide did us proud. Tiwa Savage won the award for Most Gifted Female with the song, Eminado, Kcee won Most Gifted Duo for the song Pull Over while Olamide won under the Most Gifted West category for Turn Up. Tragic!!! 11 drown as bus plunges into river in Akwa Ibom State
11 passengers, including a mother and her two female children,died in Abak local government area of Akwa Ibom State when a bus conveying passengers from Port Harcourt to Uyo, plunged in river near the Nigerian Army Barracks, Ibagwa.
All, except two of the occupants drowned.It was gathered that the Toyota Hiace bus belonging to To & Fro Transport Company was hit by a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) making it to plunged into the river.
