Why do we discriminate ain't we all humans....He was barely one year old when his parents neglected him and parted ways after a serious fight, simply because he was an albino, a rare breed that was contrary to what they had both expected.

Forty years after, Mr. Abdullahi Obafemi, has yet to recover from the painful knowledge that his parents abandoned him. They tossed him between each other until his grandmother, who was living in northern Nigeria, took over his custody.Obafemi is still haunted by his history, the humiliation and rejection he continues to suffer from the public daily.

It was a black Christmas for the Aifuwa’s family of Upper Mission extension, a suburb of Benin city following the gruesome murder of their daughter, Grace Aifuwa by her Australia based lover, simply identified as Festus Aimufua.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday when Edo residents were busy celebrating the yuletide, left many bewildered and wondering what led to the death of Miss Grace Aifuwa. Leadership Weekend learnt that Festus, popularly called (Two Million) by friends and family, had engaged in a bitter quarrel with the deceased over undisclosed reasons, before he allegedly ploughed into her with his car, dragging her on a tarred road for over 500 metres.

Suicide is never the answer!!!! Couple with 2 disabled children commit suicide after Christmas dinner

A couple found dead at their home had a Christmas dinner with their disabled children before killing themselves, friends said. Julia and Jan Tshabalala had their family meal a day early on Christmas Eve, then sent their two young children to stay with relatives.The next morning they were found dead in an apparent suicide pact.

Neighbours said they had seemed to be a ‘nice happy family’. The couple’s daughter, Serena, had cerebral palsy, although she did not need a wheelchair, while their son, Junior, had learning difficulties.Their children, thought to be aged between four and seven, go to a local school specialising in learning difficulties.
