Tragic accident as Truck crushes parents, two kids to death in Ibadan
Four members of the same family– a father, mother and their two kids– have been crushed to death by a truck laden with bags of rice.The accident was said to have happened along the Iwo-Ibadan Road in Osun State.
A passenger in a commercial bus, who witnessed the accident, told our correspondent in Osogbo on Sunday that Mr. and Mrs. Olumide Bankole; their children, Sharon and Shama, were crushed to death by the truck which lost control in an attempt to avoid running into a queue of vehicles on the road due to a police checkpoint.
Punch reports that, the eyewitness, who identified himself as Leke Okunola, said rescuers at the scene learnt that the family was traveling from Ogbomoso in Oyo State to Ibadan when the accident occurred around Odo Oba River on Christmas Eve.

At a Christmas party organized by a nursery and primary school in the Ojodu-Abiodun area of Ogun State,the joyful event turned awry after a five-year-old pupil from the school complained that the Father Christmas dipped a finger in her vagina and blood came out when she went in for her gift.
The matter was reportedly incidented at a police station in the area following which the said Father Christmas was arrested penultimate Friday and later released on bail. He was thereafter mandated to report to the station last Monday.
When Sunday Sun visited the police station where the matter was reportedly handled, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) denied knowledge of the case, saying that no such matter was brought before him.

Olawumi Oladayo (25) and Chibuzor Ekesi (22) have been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ibadan, in Oyo State Police Command during an attempt to use fake bank transaction to purchase a car.
Crime Reports learnt that the two suspects went to a car stand at Ring Road area of Ibadan at about 11.30 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 to negotiate the cost of a Crosstour car.
According to the car dealer (names withheld) Oladayo and Ekesi said they wanted to purchase the car on behalf of their father. The dealer said:

A 25-year-old woman in Ebonyi State, Ugochukwu Otu, has done the abominable by killing her one-day baby girl soon after she was discharged from a maternity home.
Otu did it so that she would be free to live her life as she pleases and avoid the maternal responsibility of caring for the baby. The horrific act was committed on December 22, 2014 in Enohia Nkalu Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
She killed the baby, put her dead body in a black polyethylene bag and dumped it in a bush near Ndibe beach road in her area.As Sunday Sun learnt from the Ebonyi State Police Commissioner, Maigari Dikko, nemesis caught up with her when neighbours began asking her about the baby.
