The Emir Of Kano puts rumors to bed.......He Denies any Plan To Marry 17-Year Old Girl

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has dispelled rumors making the rounds on the Internet that he was planning to marry a 17-year daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa. The Emir, a former Central Bank Governor of Nigeria who was forced out of office by President Goodluck Jonathan after he blew the whistle on billions of dollars in oil revenues that were reportedly not deposited by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), denied the marriage rumors while responding to questions sent by SaharaReporters via text messages and routed through one of his aides.

Responding to a question about marriage between adult men and underage girls, the Emir of Kano stated that he fully supports the right of children not to get forcibly married before attaining the constitutionally stipulated age of 18 years.

I Hope it hasn't started!!! Rivers APC members shot as Buhari begins campaign

At least, one person was feared killed   and many others seriously injured when armed youths shot at vehicles conveying supporters of the All Progressives Congress from Asari-Toru and Khana Local Government Areas of Rivers State to the inaugural presidential campaign of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

The   attacks were said to have occurred at the same time (5.30am) as the party faithful made their way to the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area.

It was learnt that nobody died in the attack by armed   youths said to be thugs working for the Peoples Democratic Party along the Bori-Saakpenwa Road in Bori,   Khana LGA.

Afusat Jimoh’s life changed seven years ago after she fell into boiling oil.At the time, she was helping an aunt living in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State to fry some pieces of meat when she suddenly had epileptic convulsion and fell into the sizzling oil.

While battling with the burns she sustained in the incident, her six-month-old child fell ill and died, followed by the death of her husband. Punch Metro learnt that after many years of trying to find solutions to her woes, her mother also abandoned her and fled.

The Lagos State Government, which promised to foot the bills for a face-lift surgery, was said to have defaulted on its pledge.It was learnt that Afusat now begs for alms in order to raise funds for her surgery. Punch Metro visited Ijeshatedo Street in the Surulere area of Lagos, where the Kwara State indigene resides with an uncle, Abdullahi Ayinla.She had a veil on her body with which she covered her injuries.

This is a bizarre solution to a problem......A Chinese couple who can't afford live-saving medical treatment for their sick daughter are trying to sell their son on the street to raise money for her chemotherapy.

Meng Xiangyan, 29, said that with certain death awaiting their daughter unless she receives medical treatment, she and her husband were prepared to sell their daughter's twin brother to a good home so that both would have a chance of life.

According to Dailymail,Pictures show her standing on Weihai Road in Qingdao, in China's eastern Shandong province, with a placard offering to sell him to the highest bidder.
