As much as many would say it marital  feud it is a glaring  case of domestic violence, a Lagos traditional ruler, Baale Abeeb Lawal,of Ikolalumo in Meiran/Ajasa command area Lagos state, brutally assaulted his wife on New year day..

According to reports, he was angered over a phone conversation she was having and when he gave her a signal to end the call, she misinterpreted his gesture as a sign to lower her voice ..So , she lowered her voice and continued the call.

 

Police detain man for petitioning Enugu Commissioner of Police, Abubakar, to IG

A businessman, Mr Friday Nnaji , who petitioned the Inspector-General of Police against the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Adamu Abubakar, has been detained by the police in Enugu.

Nnaji was clamped into detention along with Uwaezoke Agbo, Uchenna Okoh and Nwigwe Stanley on December 29, 2014.It was gathered that the police detained the petitioner because the petition reportedly embarrassed the CP.

Nnaji had in his petition, dated December 20, 2014, asked the IG to redeploy and investigate the CP for allegedly confiscating his family land and conspiring with hoodlums to kill his younger brother, Chinedu.

The Enugu indigene alleged that Abubakar sold the confiscated plots of land for N9m.
