Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong has called for the return of security checkpoints in the state. The governor made the call while visiting victims of the twin bomb blast that rocked Jos yesterday July 5th.

The guy's name is Pam...and according to a source, he was allegedly beaten by men of the Special Task Force, STF in Jos last week at the ATM where he went to make some withdrawals. He was allegedly attacked after a misunderstanding with the soldiers who were also there to get some cash.

Police have ended their initial search for the body of a 7-month-old who may have plunged into the Connecticut River when his suicidal father jumped off the Arrigoni Bridge in Middletown late Sunday night.

Police said the baby's father, Tony Moreno, 22, of Middletown, called someone threatening suicide before jumping into the river around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. That person dialed 911 and told officers Moreno's baby boy, Aaden, was making noises in the background.

According to reports, the luxury bus, which was coming from Lagos and heading to Abuja ran into a road block mounted by armed robbers.
