The Son of the Ooni of Ife, Announce that his father will be buried on Friday August 14th

Prince Adetokunboh Sijuwade says his father, the Ooni of Ife Oba Okunade Sijuwade who died July 28th will be buried in Ile Ife on Friday August 14th. 

A Bristol helicopter crashed into the Lagoon at the Oworonshoki area of Lagos this afternoon.

Helicopter crashes into Lagos Lagoon, two people rescued alive...Spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident and said a rescue team is on their way to the scene of the incident. Two people have been rescued from the scene.

A 15-year-old boy loses eye after been flogged by step mother

                                     

A 15-year-old boy, identified only as Bolu, lost an eye after his step mother, Esther Modupe, allegedly flogged him in the Onipanu area of Lagos. It was learnt that Bolu, who was looking forward to writing the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination of a university in Lagos State, is blind in his left eye.

It was gathered that Bolu’s mother separated from her husband, Lekan Williams, about 10 years ago, and her two children were brought up by the husband alone until 3 years ago when Lekan married a second wife- Esther.

A Orderly Room Trial set up by the State Command of Nigerian Police Force which found him guilty, recommended his dismissal and trial for murder. Corporal Ali Christopher with Force No. 444040 was until his dismissal, attached to the Auchi Area Commander’s office. Edo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Stephen Onwochei, confirmed the dismissal of the erring officer to journalists in Benin, adding that the case “has been thoroughly dealt with. Two police officers were arrested. At the end of investigations, one officer was found to be culpable.
