ISIS beheads 82-year old archaeologist for refusing to tell them where gold was hidden

ISIS have brutally murdered an 82-year-old retired archaeologist because he refused to tell them where gold and ancient statues were hidden.

The family of Khaled Asaad are said to have been told that the retired scholar, who worked for more than 50 years as head of antiquities in Palmyra, was beheaded by ISIS yesterday.

Mr Asaad had been detained and interrogated for over a month by the militants, who demanded to know where many of the ancient city's priceless artifacts had been taken in the days before and after ISIS took control of the city. 

Oscar Pistorius early release put on hold by SA ministry of Justice

                     

Jailed athlete Oscar Pistorious was supposed to be released this Friday, August 21 but South Africa's justice ministry has suspended his release, saying the decision to free the athlete after serving only 10 months of his five-year sentence "was taken prematurely" and with "no legal basis".

Empire Star,Terrence Howard secretly divorces 3rd wife

As he battles his second wife Michelle Ghentin court,it has been revealed that ,Terrence Howard secretly divorced his most recent spouse Mira Pak, 38, who he welcomed a baby boy with this spring. According to the New York Daily News,Pak has not lived with the 46-year-old TV star since August.

In legal papers obtained by the site, Mira began started divorce proceedings in March while still pregnant with her first child with the star.She cited irreconcilable differences.

Terrence told Access Hollywood he and Mira named the child Qirin after the mythic Chinese creature, the qilin, which is believed to come before a time of prosperity.

NNPC to publish its financial transactions as from September

According to the newly appointed GMD of NNPC, Ibe Kachiukwu, the national oil corporation will from September periodically publish the financial transactions within the corporation. He said this at his maiden town hall meeting with employees of the corporation at the NNPC Towers in Abuja today.
