The Ogun State police command have arrested 65 year old landlord, Joseph Olaleye for allegedly setting ablaze the 3 year old son of his tenant Abdulahi Razaq at his residence in Olowosatide, Owode Ijako Ota in Ado Odo Otta LGA of the state on Monday August 30
The accused and the deceased father were having an argument when the accused threw an ignited kerosene stove at the boy, causing severe injuries on the little boy who was confirmed dead by a hospital where he was immediately rushed to.

Military authorities 7-day ultimatum to community to produce killers of soldier,policeman
Army in Rivers State have given a one-week ultimatum to eight communities in Emohua Local Government Area of the state to fish out and surrender the gunmen, who allegedly ambushed and shot dead a soldier and police officer, while they were on duty along the Emohua-Kalabari Road in the area.
Niger Delta Voice gathered that the incident occurred last week, and both the army and police in the state were furious. A trustworthy source hinted that the new Brigade Commander in charge of Rumuokoro Army Barracks in Port Harcourt stormed Emohua with three vehicles, fully loaded with fierce-looking military men and drove straight to the palace of the paramount ruler of Emohua Kingdom, HRM, Eze V.C. Okor.

Man imprisoned for 5 years for setting pregnant lover on fire
On Monday, a 37-year-old bar operator who was identified as Lucky Esonahae was arraigned on one count bordering on causing bodily harm by setting his pregnant lover on fire.
The prosecuting officer, Sergeant Ganiyu Yahya, told the court that the incident took place at Uwelu Quartres in Benin, and was reported by the victim, Stella Isaac, on July 6, the same day it occurred.
Yahya said Esonahae poured kerosene on Stella, who was said to be 7 months pregnant, lit a match and set her on fire.
He said that the victim was later rescued by one of her sons and her neighbours, who forced the door of her room open, as she had been locked in. He said the victim, who was later rushed to the Central Hospital, where she received treatment sustained burns on her hands and forehead.
