The Nigeria Immigration begins withdrawal of diplomatic passports from...

                         

Nigeria Immigration Service has begun the withdrawal of diplomatic passports from former government officials including former governors, former Senators and House of Reps members, former Ministers and commissioners, former special advisers/special assistants, former chairmen/deputy chairmen of local government areas, all retired heads of parastatals and retired public servants.

A statement from the Comptroller-General of the Immigration Service, Martin Abeshi yesterday September 7th, said the diplomatic passports of those affected have been revoked and should be returned to the Immigration headquarters

An Ado-Ekiti customary court, yesterday, dissolved the 26-year marriage between a bricklayer, James Kayode Oguntuase, 75 and his wife, Felicia, 53, over sexual deprivation.
Oguntuase accused Felicia of denying him sex, adultery, stealing and stubbornness, allegations which she denied.The petitioner told the court that he had caught his wife with 3 different men and that she had aborted three pregnancies for her lovers. He also accused also alleged that his estranged wife stealing N35,000, the money he had saved for the purchase of carpentry materials.

EFCC Freezes Ex President Jonathan's 'Associate's' Accounts


In line with president Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption campaign, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has secretly frozen the bank accounts of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s associates.
According to PUNCH, the move by the anti-graft agency was aimed at scuttling the transfer of the alleged looted funds from the accounts for other reasons. A member of a key transition committee of the All Progressives Congress, who spoke to one of our correspondents on condition of anonymity, on Friday, said the need had become necessary in view of the magnitude of the alleged theft of public resources by the affected persons.

The affected accounts, SUNDAY PUNCH learnt, belonged to Keketobou Foundation, owned by former Special Adviser to Jonathan on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, and Mieka Divers Limited as well as Global West Vessels Limited reportedly owned by ex-Niger Delta warlord, Mr. Government Ekpompolo, aka Tompolo.

Kabiru Sokoto, a member of Boko Haram sentenced to life imprisonment

                         

Boko Haram member, Kabiru Sokoto accused of facilitating bomb attacks on the police headquarters in Sokoto State and some other government organizations in the state between 2007 and 2012 was yesterday September 4th sentenced to life imprisonment by a Abuja based high court.

Pregnant woman arrested in India, drugs found concealed in her stomach

                    

The 32-year-old South African woman named Mosiea Moosa who initially lied that she was 7 months pregnant, was actually carrying packages of the drugs in her stomach and her urogenital tract. She was arrested on August 30 when she landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, India from Dubai on an Emirates flight,The Times of India reports.  

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths became suspicious after looking at her passport and travel pattern over the last one week. On subjecting her to medical examination, they discovered that she had swallowed the banned drugs which were packed in small polymer packets.
