The Blackface Allegations : 2face Idibia Sets The Record Straight

This is the official reaction to Blackface's song stealing allegation from 2face Idibia's camp. This is from his manager, Efe Omorogbe. Read below...
When my attention was drawn to Blackface's twitter rant about the "theft" of his songs by his ex-band mate 2Baba, my initial reaction was to ignore what I perceived as an obvious marketing gimmick for his new single. The reaction from a vast majority of people on social media who read about the allegations was evidence that the ploy had backfired.
Blackface's press interviews since the twitter rant has made it necessary for me to present the flip side and set the records straight.

1. 2Baba and Blackface do have a bunch of songs they co-wrote in their days as Plantashun Boiz.
2. Both artistes have collectively and individually recorded and commercially released materials from this collection.
3. 2Baba has always given Blackface (Austin Ahmedu) co-writing credit every time he recorded any song that has Blackface's input - No matter how minimal.
4. Blackface has neither given 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) co-writing credit nor sought "permission" to record any of the materials they jointly authored.
5. Blackface has earned royalties off his shared publishing rights for about a decade.
6. A huge chunk of income he has made derives from royalties earned by the commercial exploitation of the successesful materials performed/recorded by 2Baba.
7. 2Baba did not and couldn't have stolen "Let Somebody Love You" from Blackface.  The song was released about 2 years ago. Blackface complained about his name being misspelt on the CD sleeve and we personally apologised to him.
8. Yes. Blackface contributed to the writing of the first verse of the song. The second verse was entirely 2Baba. Bridget Kelly wrote her verse and Efe Omorogbe wrote the outro verse.
9. Efe Omorogbe is not 2Baba's manager on "Let Somebody Love You" but a co-writer.
10. The outro verse was lifted from the song "How?" written in 1997 and recorded in 1999 at Dolphin studios, Surulere. Blackface didn't write that bit. Couldn't have written that bit. Blackface cannot in 2016, touch Efe Omorogbe's writing from 1997.
11. Blackface should be honoured to  have shared co-writing credit with 2Baba. I am. For each and every song we have collaborated on.
12. Blackface should be grateful 2Baba recorded their co-authored materials to ensure a lifetime of royalty income for him.
12. Blackface should record and release his own version of "Let Somebody Love You" and keep 100% publishing on that version. Oops! 2Baba will still be entitled to a share.
13. Blackface is not in 2Baba's league as a songwriter. Their post-Plantashun Boiz' catalogs speak for themselves.
14. Blackface should go to court to seek redress if he indeed believes he has a case.
15. Blackface should know that nobody ever secured a court judgement via a twitter rant or media tour.
17. Blackface must have realised by now that the unfortunate tirade has not made "Killa" a hit. At least, not at the moment.
We grind our way to the results we seek bro. Just HARDwork. No short cuts!

Why We Transferred Mbaka - Catholic Church Explain

The Leadership of the Catholic Church in Nigeria has explained the reason behind the recent transfer of controversial Catholic priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka from Enugu to Emene. According to the Secretary-General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Reverend Father Ralph Madu‎, Mbaka's transfer was to make him more useful in his service. He refuted claims by Mbaka that his transfer was a punishment and a calculated move to make him suffer.

"‎Mbaka’s transfer is not an exception; the Bishop has the right to post any priest wherever he feels his service would be more useful to the church.

His posting should have been a privilege, not a punishment which the Bishop can do because he has the power. If he says it’s a punishment, then it’s open for further investigation. Posting is a regular thing, a priest can be transferred after two, three, four, or more years. It depends on the discretion of the Bishop. That ministry (Adoration Ministry) is his private ministry. It does not belong to the church. Overseeing a parish is a full time job. Overseeing a ministry is a bigger task. If the church decides to take him somewhere where he’ll have more time to carry out his ministry, how is it punitive? That should not be the language.”he said
Madu said Mbaka had done things that were unacceptable to the church in the past but received no punishments for them.

“He is supposed to be a missionary. What if the Bishop had closed down the ministry , which is within his power to do? Sometimes, transfers can be for the good of the priest as something can be going wrong which he might not be aware of. The Bishop is free to move any priest at any time, it is his prerogative.”

Fr Mbaka is to resume immediately at his new post at the Our Lady Parish, Emene. The priest, who is as fiery as he is controversial, had described his re-posting by the church as a “calculated move” to make him suffer.”

A Baby Has Been Born in This Town For The First Time in 28 Years

Since the 1980s, the Italian town of Ostana had not seen the birth of a single baby.
But just last week, a dream came true, as the mayor of the small town said. A baby was born. The first in 28 years.

According to La Stampa, the town has only 85 inhabitants, including newborn Pablo. Its population has continuously fallen -- a fate shared by many other Italian towns and villages.

"The real decline started in 1975, with 17 babies between 1976 and 1987, when the last boy was born - until little Pablo,"
Mayor Giacomo Lombardo was quoted as saying. A party will be held to celebrate what he hopes will be the start of a reversal of that trend.

But the population decline will be hard to stop, no matter what ideas Lombardo comes up with.

Younger Italians in particular say there are few attractive job prospects in rural areas. Many have moved to cities, leaving their hometowns to the elderly. Ostana, which is in northern Italy, has only one shop, a bar and two restaurants, according to the Italian news site the Local.

Some parts of northern Italy have been hit harder than others. But the south, including the island of Sicily, has faced more dramatic demographic changes in recent decades.

The arrival of baby Pablo has certainly been welcomed in Ostana, according to the mayor. "It's great to finally have someone born here, and it shows that our efforts to reverse population decline are slowly working," Lombardo was quoted as saying.

Lombardo has tried to create jobs in order to prevent other young people from leaving the town. Pablo might be the first indication that his strategy is working. His parents wanted to move away several years ago but stayed after they were offered the opportunity to work at a mountain refuge.

Queen of Queens : Dabota Lawson Deletes Her Instagram Page Amid Crashed Marriage Rumours

There's fire on mountain and self acclaimed Queen of queens and former model Dabota Lawson has deleted her Instagram page because of it. Just yesterday, rumours went viral that her marriage to billionaire Sunny Aku has crashed.

According to the story, the former beauty queen separated from her billionaire husband, Sunny Aku, with Dabota allegedly citing incompatibility and other irreconcilable differences as the reason for the break up. The day the ill-fated union crashed, her husband Sunny was reportedly broken and battered. He allegedly wept and wailed like a bad-tempered banshee. Nothing happen. Dabota has moved on.

You recall that in August last year, the former model and beauty queen was allegedly kicked out of her home because she was reportedly unfaithful to her husband. Dabota had quickly replied her 'haters' with a video of her and hubby cuddling and denying the rumour.

The same breakup story came up again this time and it was noticed Dabota had deleted all photos of her home, leaving only photos of her cosmetic line. Right now, her entire Instagram page has been deleted.

Dabota Lawson and Sunny Aku got married in December 2014.
