Sad : Three Month Old Infant Dies on First Day at Daycare

After three and a half months of maternity leave, Adrienne Kromer's took her daughter, McKenna Felmly to a daycare because she had to return to work. She said she called her daughter's new daycare center three times to check on the baby girl.
Kromer said her daughter was perfectly healthy when she was dropped off at the Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, center in the morning,

Kromer said she was nervous about dropping her daughter off at such a tender age but had to go back to work. She said one time when she called the daycare, they told her McKenna was having trouble sucking on her bottle, then they later said she'd fallen asleep quickly (something Kromer said was very rare for her daughter to do),so Kromer decided to leave work early and pick up her daughter.

Few minutes after she left work, the daycare center called her and told her McKenna wasn't breathing. By the time Kromer arrived, McKenna had been transported to the hospital; soon after Kromer and Brian Felmly (the infant's father) arrived at the hospital, doctors told them they couldn't save the infant and that she had passed away.

Daycare workers said they found McKenna unresponsive in her crib and that they gave CPR and several other attempts to revive her at the daycare, but she was pronounced dead upon her arrival at the hospital.

An autopsy showed no signs of trauma and police say the death does not appear suspicious at this time, but a cause of death won't be determined until toxicology and viral tests are completed and other aspects of the case, including the crib, are investigated.

"We are continuing to conduct interviews with family, friends, and employees of the daycare," the police chief told LeHigh Valley Live Wednesday. "We still have some work to finish yet. I can't say when we will determine manner of death."
The result could take as long as three months.

Police confirmed that the daycare center has a valid certificate of operation and had last been inspected in January this year.

Abducted Chibok Girls Make Passionate Appeal To Government & Parents In New Video, As Mothers Identify Them(Photos)

They were stolen from their beds in a school dormitory, hundreds of teenage girls kidnapped by gunmen.

A few dozen escaped to tell of the night that Boko Haram militants brought terror to their school.

From the rest, silence. No sign of where they had been taken or what could have happened to them for almost two years, even as the world screamed #BringBackOurGirls.

Hundreds of parents left, day after day, night after night, and then months with no information, until now.

CNN has obtained a video of some of the "Chibok Girls" sent to negotiators by their captors as a "proof of life."

The video had been seen by negotiators and some members of the government.

But no one had shown the parents. Until now.

Rifkatu Ayuba catches sight of her long-lost, desperately missed, now 17-year-old. "My Saratu!" she wails, reaching out to a laptop screen, the closest she's been to her child in two years. She is desperate to comfort her little girl, but helpless.

Saratu Ayuba is one of 15 girls seen in the recording shown to some of the families for the first time at an emotional meeting this week. Wearing a purple abaya, with a patterned brown scarf covering her hair, Saratu stares directly into the camera.

"I felt like removing her from the screen," Ayuba tells us, desperate to pluck Saratu from the mysterious location where she is being held and bring her home. "If I could, I would have removed her from the screen."

The video is believed to have been made last December as part of negotiations between the government and Boko Haram.

It was released by someone keen to give the girls' parents hope that some of their daughters are still alive, and to motivate the government to help release them.

The girls, their hair covered and wearing long, flowing robes, line up against a dirty yellow wall. They show no obvious signs of maltreatment.

As the camera focuses in on each of them, a man behind the camera fires off questions: "What's your name? Was that your name at school? Where were you taken from?"

One by one, each girl calmly states her name and explains that she was taken from Chibok Government Secondary School. Only the occasional hesitation betrays a flicker of fear and emotion.

As the two minute clip comes to an end, one of the girls, Naomi Zakaria, makes a final -- apparently scripted -- appeal to whoever is watching, urging the Nigerian authorities to help reunite the girls with their families.

"I am speaking on 25 December 2015, on behalf of the all the Chibok girls and we are all well," she says, stressing the word "all." Her intonation seems to imply that the 15 teens seen in the video have been chosen to represent the group as a whole.

The date given by Naomi matches information embedded in the video, suggesting it was filmed on Christmas Day, though whether that's true or whether the day was picked deliberately is unknown.

Most of the 276 girls taken from Chibok on April 14, 2014 were Christian. They are believed to have been forced to convert to Islam by their terrorist captors.

Man Rap*d His Wife's 15-year Old Sister For 10 Years(Photo)

A 36-year-old man, Imeh Akpan(pictured above) accused of rapi*g his wife’s 15-year-old step-sister for 10 years has been arrested by the police in Lagos State.

The suspect, who was paraded before reporters on Wednesday afternoon, however denied the allegation, insisting that he only did it once.

Akpan, according to the Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, started defiling the teenager since she was five-year-old.

“The teenager has been living with him since she was small. He started rapi*g her when
she was five-year-old.
“She lives with him and his wife, who’s her step-sister and he has been defiling her since then.

“But he was eventually caught at the weekend after the girl ran out of the house and was rescued by some policemen,” said Owoseni.
However, the victim (names withheld) disclosed that the man has taken advantage of her twice and her sister was not around.

She stated that she has complained to her sister once and when the older woman confronted her husband, he denied rapi*g her.

She said:
“My daddy (suspect) rap*d me because my mummy travelled to Akwa Ibom last Wednesday. I was sleeping on Sunday, around 10pm, my daddy came and removed my clothes and slept with me.

“He used the towel to cover my eye and my mouth but I was still shouting and crying. He said nobody will come and help me. So, I ran out of the house when i got chance. After I ran out, I begged my neighbour to give me phone to talk to my mummy (half sister) and he said there is no credit in his phone.

“So, I ran towards the police station at the roundabout. On my way there, I saw one man who asked me where I was going. I told him everything and the man said he will take me to police station and to human right.

“So, he now took me to hotel that I should come and sleep in hotel till morning before he will take me to the station. I followed the man and I now said I cannot sleep with him inside the hotel.
“When I wanted to close my eyes, I was now seeing the man as if his hand was touching me in my dream. I could not close my eyes. Around 3am, I told the man I want to go and ease myself and he allowed me.
“The man now said since I want to go and report everything at police station that he will use his own money and that the money will be N50, 000, that I should do him a favour and enter the room. I did but the man wanted to r*pe me also and I shouted before the owner of the hotel came and opened the door.

“That was how I ran outside. As I was walking on the road, policemen saw me and I told them everything and they called one Okada man to take me to Lion Building.
“He has slept with me two times. The first time was last year. I told my mummy everything when she came back from church because my daddy told her that I ran out of the house. When I told her, she believed me but when my uncle now denied, he claimed that I left the door open and someone entered the house. That was why he kicked me and I ran out,” she narrated.
But the victim who claimed he was drunk said he did not know what he did or how he did it.
“She is like my daughter and it is an abomination for me to sleep with her. I have been the one training her since she was a baby. I was drunk and I did not know anything. It was the police that invited me and told me I rap*d her. I did not even know. It is only this once I have done it. I do not know what came over me,” he said.

Kenyan Police Warn Rich Female Citizens to be Cautious of Nigerian Men 'Love Scam'

The Kenya Police has issued a warning to wealthy Kenyan women over the influx of Nigerian immigrants with ill intentions towards them.

According to the Star, government spokesman Eric Kiraithe said the foreigners travel to Kenya as tourists but do not register formally with their High Commission in Nairobi.
“They come here after identifying their targets and bypass getting any kind of formal identification so that they can operate without suspicion,” explained Kiraithe as quoted in the Star.
He also added that this was a scam where they target rich women and seduce them into marriage only for them to con and steal from them, or commit a crime and disappear.
“The department of immigration is creating strong laws to be tabled in Parliament before the situation gets out of control,” added Kiraithe.
According to officials at Immigration, the immigrants end up working in the country without permits and operate comfortably in mid and high end estates.

Some of the areas they can be found in multitudes includes Eastlands’ Donholm, Komarock and Umoja estates, Thika road’s Thome, Kasarani and Roysambu areas, and lavish areas like Kileleshwa and Runda.

Common methods most men use are phishing whereby they create fake accounts using women’s pictures to befriend you and then later recommend themselves to you. This is mostly rampant on Facebook.

Kenyan women have been said to fall for Nigerian men easily because of the façade these men put on to appear rich. They are known to flaunt their worldly belongings as well as using their accents to appear exotic in charming women.

Other ways Nigerian men lie to Kenyan women is by creating sob stories where they were promised football careers in Europe by an agency in Nigeria only to end up at the agency’s offices in Nairobi, stranded after being abandoned in the process of catching a connecting flight to a European country.

Pregnant Woman Pours Boiling Water on Househelp's Breasts For Waking Up Late(Graphic Photo)

This pregnant woman is facing child abuse and human trafficking charges after she attacked her housemaid with boiling water for waking up late.

According to PREMIUM TIMES, mother of one Kemi Egbukole, 36,  poured boiling water on 16-year-old Hope David leaving her breasts with severe injuries. Police said Egbukole would be charged after investigations are concluded.

Mrs. Egbukole, a resident of of Minta 1 Estate, Lokogoma, Abuja, is currently  being investigated for child abuse and trafficking offences by the Police, National Human Rights Commission and National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons,( NAPTIP)

According to the Deputy Director, Protection and Investigations, National Human Rights Commission, Lambert Oparah, Mrs. Egbukole initially denied the assault charges but later admitted the attack, claiming it was an accident, and the victim  was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Director however revealed that Hope wasn't taken to the hospital as claimed by the suspect.
"She was taken to a chemist, they put plasters around her breast which was not quite good," he said

Neighbours who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES described Mrs. Egbukole as a "notorious child abuser" who repeatedly attacked Hope with dangerous objects including rods.
"She ran out of the house and came to my side," one of the neighbour said. "Mrs. Egbukole was still trying to flog her with a mop stick."

The neighbour said at first she thought Hope was attacked with pepper or cold water as in the past.

"I thought it was just water and pepper, or something, until the girl screamed back again in my room and I shouted, ‘What!’ the breast has peeled already. So I shouted and said ‘Come you did this thing to this girl and you still want to flog her again? I will report you to the police and NAPTIP; at that point she started begging and immediately she started telling lies,"  the neighbour said.
Mrs. Egbukole claimed Hope poured herself water, according to a neighbour.
But the woman had a history of abusing the girl, the neighbour said, citing how Mrs. Egbukole a day earlier had hit Hope with a curtain rail, injuring her in the head.

Mr Opara alleges that Hope was trafficked to Abuja. According to him, Mrs Egbukole said the girl was brought to her by a pastor who usually supplied girls from Nasarawa State to Abuja residents seeking house helps.

"She said she does not know the girl’s parents, Mr. Oparah added.
The commission immediately made a reported to the Commissioner of Police, Abuja, who directed further investigations into the case. Mrs. Egbukole will most likely be charged for abuse of the Child Rights’ Act, 2003.
"The Child Rights’ Act clearly states the responsibility of parents or wards, as well as government or other agencies involved; regarding the dignity of the child, as well as the child’s right to adequate health and health services, which have both been abused in this case,"  Oparah said.
Mrs Egbukole and her husband had been at the FCT police command for interrogation and would be required to return intermittently till the end of the investigation.

The Abuja police spokesperson, Manzah Adjuguri, who confirmed the incident said Mrs. Egbukole claims that the pastor who brought Hope from Nasarawa was her uncle. He assured the matter will be charged after investigation.
"It is a matter of concern to the command based on the rate of injuries that has been sustained by the girl. And for us, here at the command, justice must take its full course," he stated.
Adjuguri further said the command was still in touch with Hope, who is currently recovering under the custody of NAPTIP.
The spokesperson of NAPTIP, Joshua Emerole, said Hope would remain under the agency’s care until the end of the investigation and that Mrs Egbukole faces other charges including the violation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act, 2015.

Landlady Allegedly Sets Tenant’s Apartment Ablaze to Eject Him(Photo)

One Mrs Nike Azeez who is a landlady in the Ijegun community of Lagos state, has been accused of setting the home of one of her tenants, Adeleke Shakiru on fire just to remove him from her compound. This happened on Tuesday April 12th.

According to PM News, Nike and Shakiru have been at loggerheads over the use of his generator in her compound.

Nike and her husband, Jamiu, had asked Shakiru to stop using his generator in their compound, a directive that caused a friction between them after Shakiru refused to heed to their request, saying he needed to use his generator to charge his phones and provide his wife and his 2 year old son some comfort.

Things between Nike and Shakiru degenerated on Tuesday when Nike got to their room, poured petrol in their house and struck a match.

Shakiru's wife and their son were able to escape after sustaining some injuries. Shakiru says his wife called him while he was at work to say their landlady had poured petrol in their room and set it on fire. According to him, when he got home, he could only salvage a little of his properties.

His landlady, her husband and children fled the compound after she committed the act.
