'If You Think You Are a Mother, Pls Act Like One' - Lady Allegedly Pregnant For Burna Boy - Uju Stella, Blasts His Mother
Uju Stella who is allegedly pregnant for singer Burna Boy, has reacted to comments made by his mother that they don’t have time for her.
In an interview with Punch, Burna Boy's mum was quoted to have said it is not a criminal offence for a lady to be pregnant for any guy, that if a girl claims she is pregnant for somebody and the person refuses to accept it, she is meant to look for his family instead of taking it to the public.
Burna Boy's mum also said her son is yet to say anything about the issue and they are only focusing on his music right now and don't know anything about any pregnancy, that girls always come up with pregnancy claims. Uju Stella took to her IG to respond to the comment. Read what she wrote below...
Gunmen Kidnap Kwara State's APC Chairman & Secretary
The Chairman and the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, Ishola Balogun Fulani and Chief Bode Adekanye, were both kidnapped at gun point along Lokoja Okene road in Kogi state yesterday May 20th.
According to the publicity secretary of the party in the state, Sulyman Buhari, the politicians were kidnapped at about 10am.
“We received a call from the line of the chairman around this time, (10am) telling us of the kidnapping issue. No ransom was mentioned and all attempts to make further enquiries from them proved abortive as the line was no longer available”. “We are on it to see if we can still establish a link with them. We have taken all the necessary steps and linked up with relevant security operatives to ensure their safety and eventual release,” he said.
Ronke Shonde Buried Yesterday, as Police Charge Husband For Murdering Her With 'Blow to the Head'
Tears flowed at the Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos state, as the remains of 36-year-old Ronke Shonde, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Lekan, were buried on Friday.
The small group of mourners at the sight made of her family and close friends, could not hold back their tears as the deceased’s first child, aged six, suddenly let out a cry when Ronke was lowered into the grave.
The children were said to have earlier taken a gaze at the remains of their mother at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, but the reality of her death struck as she was laid in the earth.
The solemn ceremony, lasted only about 15 minutes.
Ronke’s mother was left at home, while her uncle, who owned the publishing company where she worked before her death, was said to have traveled abroad.
No family member or relation of her husband was present at the burial.
It was gathered that the corpse left the LASUTH mortuary around 2pm and was conveyed in a hired hearse.
As the hearse bearing her body arrived the cemetery, a pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Destiny Sanctuary, where Ronke worshipped at their home in Egbeda, called for the singing of a hymn. His sermon thereafter lasted just few minutes.
Everybody initially held back their emotions while the homily lasted until the deceased’s first child led the gathering in a flood of tears.
Meanwhile, an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of alleged wife killer, Lekan Shonde, in prison for 30 days. Lekan was arraigned yesterday morning on charges of murder by the police. He is alleged to have killed his wife, Ronke Shonde at their Egbeda flat and fled.
The charge reads: “That you Shonde Olalekan, on May 5, 2016, at about 2030 hours at No. 3, Tiemo Street, Egbeda, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did kill one Ronke Shonde, ‘F’ age 37, by giving her fist blow on her head, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”
When he was asked if he understood the charge, Shonde asked for the last paragraph to be re-read, after which he replied, “I didn’t kill her.”
The case was adjourned till 24th of June.

"It Is Unfair For A Man To Marry Only One Woman, I Wish To Have Many Children From Different Women" - 9ice Says
Popular Nigerian singer, 9ice, has stated that marrying one woman is unfair to women in general. He also disclosed his wish to have many children from different women.
The singer said “We have more women currently. If one man marries just one wife, other women will be useless".
According to Daily Post, 9ice made this disclosure in an interview with Ebony Life TV.
“I’m a product of a polygamous family that is why I am also productive; because there are more women than men, it would be unfair if a man marries one wife.”, he said
Recall that the single father currently has four children from three women; his ex-wife, Toni Payne has a boy, Victoria Godis has a set of twin for him while his latest girlfriend, Sunkanmi Ajala has a daughter for him.
