Finally : Cause Of Bobbi-Kristina Brown's Death Revealed(See)

 A fatal cocktail of marijuana, booze and anxiety drugs led to Bobbi Kristina's drowning, in chilling echoes of mum Whitney Houston's death.

Fulton County Medical Examiner's office in Atlanta released a statement on the death of Whitney and Bobby Brown's daughter as officials prepare to release the full post-mortem report.

It states immersion in water and a drug intoxication did lead to her death and that the cause of death was Lobar pneumonia. Marijuana and alcohol were involved, along with medication used for sedation or to treat anxiety.

The autopsy was carried out by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office, and was revealed after a judge order.

“The cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death as determined by the Fulton County Medical Examiner is: Lobar pneumonia,” the statement from the examiner’s office read.

“Due to: Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, delayed effects. Due to: Immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication.” The drugs included marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine, benzodiazepines and morphine.

Her tragic death at age 22 has been classified as "undetermined" as it is still not clear whether her death was "intentional" or "accidental".

Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her bathtub in January of 2015, and was in a coma till she died on July 26, 2015.

 Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, has slammed Dino Melaye for being so “hollow” as to delve into his matrimonial life despite failing to keep one of his own.

While making his contribution on Wednesday to the debate on a motion regarding the need for Nigerians to patronise made-in-Nigeria goods, Melaye had said: “I want to celebrate the made-in-Nigeria senator for bringing this motion. In considering the made-in-Nigeria goods, we must look at enabling factors that will necessitate the made in Nigeria goods.

“We will also move in order to encourage the made-in-Nigeria products in Nigeria, begin to talk about made-in-Nigeria women. Apologies to my uncle, the governor of Edo state, we must, as a people, stop paying dowry in dollars and pounds.  It is time for my colleagues here to become born again.”

Displeased with the comments, Oshimohole replied on Friday, saying Melaye “only displayed his hollowness” by delving into a matter as private as his marriage to his heartthrob.

Oshiomole advised Dino to “mend his ways with his ex-wife and concubines before coming to the village square to display his crass ignorance and emptiness to the Nigerian people."

“Our attention has been drawn to the unprovoked verbal assault launched by one Senator Dino Melaye on the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, while making a contribution on the floor of the Senate on the need to patronize made-in-Nigeria goods,” Oshiomhole said in a statement by Peter Okhiria, his chief press secretary.

“As a ‘nephew’ of the Governor and members of the same party, we expected Senator Melaye to tender an unreserved public apology to the Comrade Governor, to no avail. “It is an open secret that Senator Melaye cannot maintain a decent matrimonial home hence he could descend to this pedestrian level of using the hallowed chambers to ‘cargorise’ women as if they were pieces of items for purchase. “The liberty of free speech guaranteed in the hallowed chambers does not impose lunacy on anyone to disparage other Nigerians, let alone pry into their matrimony in a very derisive manner.  So, I’m not a girl any more, or I never was one. but when I was young I didn’t know there was any alternative to what people were telling me I was, i.e. a girl. it never fit me, but that didn’t stop me from believing that was what I was because that’s what I was constantly being told - by my family, by society, by ambient media consumption, by changing in the girls’ room and not the boys’ room at school, by a thousand thousand things that happened every day. and, in that sense, despite not being a girl, I lived the life of one, the everyday warped reality of one, and so to all intents and purposes believe I can claim feminism as my own movement because not actually being a girl didn’t save me from the things that were done to me because everyone else thought I was one.

Shocking : Poly Student Loses Left Eye From Robber’s Bullet(Graphic Photo)

 What a pity! This 19-year-old National Diploma, ND, student of Otefe Polytechnic, Oghara, Delta State, Esther Oteri, is battling for survival at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, after an armed robber damaged her face with bullets during operation.

 It was gathered that the incident happened at about 7pm on February 18th, a night to her matriculation day.

A source told our correspondent that Oteri had gone out to retrieve her matriculation gown from a dry-cleaner. On getting there, she saw a gunman right in the dry-cleaner’s office.

The terrified girl screamed ‘Jesus’ and the robber who was on operation at the wash man’s office, shot her for daring to raise the alarm.

He absconded after dispossessing her of her phone when she fell to the ground.

The 100 level student was, however, rushed to DELSUTH by passersby.

A staff of the plastic surgery team, DELSUTH, told DAILY POST that the Maxilofacial and Ophthalmology team were battling to revive her as she lost her left eye due to fracture. See the graphic photo below....

Girl 18, Who Ran Away From Home In Enugu Found Pregnant In Lagos(Photo)

 A teenage girl who ran away from her family house in Enugu about 5 months ago has been found pregnant in Lagos State.

18-year-old Chidinma was caught at Diamond bank in Festac Lagos on the 12th of February after four months of frantic search by her anxious parents.

She was 3 months pregnant by the time detectives from Festac Police Station picked her up at a branch of Diamond Bank in Amuwo Odofin.

Her boyfriend, 21-year-old Umar Idris who works as an hair stylist may be charged with rape and abduction.

Chidinma on the other hand said she would have gone back home, but she was waiting for her dad, who offended and made her to run away from home, to call her.

The dad never did. It was only her mom who bothered to call and often sends her money.

According to Chidinma, she said to Umar that she was 21. She added: “He asked me my age. I didn’t want to tell him my real age.

She lived with Idris for five months. It was within those months she discovered she was three months pregnant.

“I’m in love with Idris. Love is a strong feeling that binds people together.

I have strong feelings for Idris. He didn’t treat me bad. He took me to his house, fed and bought clothes for me. I don’t see my sleeping with him as paying him. I’m ready to marry him. I don’t think my parents will say no to our marriage.” – Chidinma told police.

 A £50,000 Audi TT believed to belong to a beggar was found smashed up after he was spotted loading his shopping items into it. 

Matthew Brinton sparked fury when he was filmed putting his shopping and dog Hazel into the flashy car after a day of begging on the streets.

He is known in Newquay, Cornwall, for spending his days asking for money on the streets.

Today, a battered Audi which is said to share the same number plates as Mr Brinton's car was found in the town after the windscreen was smashed.

Matthew claims the car was a gift from his grandmother and that it was stolen from him. Police have no record of the attack on the car, but said they are investigating.

Matthew, 35, claimed yesterday he's received death threats from residents who think he was passing himself off as homeless in a bid to take their cash.

He was filmed bundling his border collie and a sleeping bag into the Audi in a car park close to his begging patch.

"People are assuming too much and I'm getting a lot of abuse, which is pushing me to suicide," he said. "This has been going on for years."

Dave Meredith, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said the beggar has had threats but none were deemed to present an immediate risk to his safety.

He said: "We've told him – "You need to be careful because of the video on Facebook. There's lots of ill-feeling and animosity because of it," the police warned.

Ese Oruru's Father Confirms Daughter is Pregnant

 Charles Oruru, the father of 14 year old Ese Oruru who was abducted by one Yunusa aka Yellow and taken to Kano in August 2015, is pregnant.

Female Corps Member Narrates How She Escaped Being Raped at National Assembly

 A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) attached to the National Assembly narrowly escaped being raped on Thursday March 3rd.

The fair complexioned lady was seen crying profusely at the White House wing of the National Assembly complex at about 5:45pm

She told passers-by at the Senate wing of the White House that she narrowly escaped being raped.

She said that a heavily built man accosted her while she went to ease herself at one of rest rooms in the upper legislative chamber.

The corps member said she was about to undress herself when she saw a man entering the rest room.

The lady said she sensed that it was unusual for a man to enter the room specifically designed for women.

“As the man approached me, I had no option than to raise the alarm and the man took to his heels,” she said.

She wondered why security operatives at the National Assembly did not respond quickly to her call and apprehend the man.

Woman Arrested After Biting Off Boyfriend's Tongue During Passionate Kiss

 A woman has been arrested after allegedly biting off her boyfriend's tongue while they kissed passionately.

Shakeia Long, 37, was sharing a snog with Dwayne Williams, 41, when she chomped down and removed a chunk of his tongue, it was reported.

Horrified Williams managed to grab the piece of flesh and fled Long's apartment, in Hartford, 

Connecticut, the Hartford Courant reported.

He is believed to have flagged down a passing police officer and was taken to hospital, according to an arrest warrant seen by the local paper.

Williams struggled to speak but was able to tell the officer "She bit off my tongue", the warrant says.

Williams was taken to nearby St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center where the detached piece of tongue was placed on ice.

Williams told investigators he had lost a lot of blood and began losing consciousness, the warrant alleges.

Medics tried in vain to reattach the large chunk of tongue, the Courant reports.

Hartford police spoke to Williams after his release from the hospital and tried to track down his alleged attacker.

Long, who has a child with Williams, was quizzed by officers and admitted she had smoked PCP with Williams at the time, authorities said.

In her statement, she claims she "was not aware of his injuries or how they occurred".

Long was charged with first-degree assault and appeared in court this week .

She also faces a charge of violating the terms of her probation from a 2013 second-degree assault conviction.

Long is due back in court March 31.

Things We For Love : Man Caught In DELSU While Impersonating And Writing Exams For His Girlfriend

 The Delta State University has arrested a Mechanical Engineering student of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Inneh Aisosa, for impersonating and writing exams for his 400-level girlfriend.

According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of DELSU, Eddy Agbure, on Wednesday, Mr. Aisosa was nabbed on February 23 while writing examination for Onakpoma Oghenetega, a 400-level student of the Abraka campus of the university.

The statement said the suspect with matriculation number 0452/2010, came into the university in a Toyota Camry with registration number ABH 417 GW to write the exam for Miss Oghenetega (matriculation number FOS/12/13/212931), who is alleged to be his girlfriend.

Premium Times reports that Mr. Aisosa was apprehended by members of DELSU Examination Monitoring Group in collaboration with invigilators.

“With this development, it is obvious that some of our unserious-minded students have introduced new tactics to perpetrate examination malpractice,” the statement said.

“While law abiding and committed students of the university are busy reading very hard for their examinations, the lazy ones are busy engaging mercenaries from within and outside the university to write examinations for them with the sole aim of getting good grades.

“This is totally unacceptable and management of the university will not relax in the relentless was against this academic fraud.”

The statement said the university authorities vowed to deal with criminally-minded students in the war against examination malpractices.

EFCC Arrests Governor Okorocha's Aides For Allegedly Pocketing N2bn Bailout Fund

 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) on Wednesday, March 2nd, arrested three top officials of Imo State government for allegedly diverting the sum of N2billion bailout fund given to the state by the Federal Government for payment of salary arrears of the state’s civil servants.

According to the statement by EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren, the suspects are: Dr. Obi Paschal Chigozie, Principal Secretary to the Governor of Imo State, Uzoho Casmir, Director of Finance and Iheoma Kenneth, Treasurer.

He added that their arrest followed an investigation into the alleged diversion of the said money which revealed that, the cashier had made cash withdrawal of N456.532m between September 3, 2015 and October 10, 2015 from the Government House account domiciled in Zenith Bank.

"It was revealed that, the said amount was given to an aide of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, following approval and directive by the Principal Secretary to the Governor." Uwajaren stated.

The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded, the EFCC statement said.

N676m Job Scam : Inmates Shocked To See Abba Moro Among Them Only Months After Visiting Them As A Minister

 Inmates at the Kuje prison were shocked to see that the former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro is now one of them, The Nation reports. Many of them were excited and curious to know what led to his detention.

According to a source, the inmates were amazed to see Moro in prison custody barely one year after he visited the facility as the interior minister (oh well).

A source said the former minister was brought to the prison around 12 pm on Monday and made to undergo the standard procedures for inmates.

It would be recalled that, Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday remanded the former minister in prison custody over his alleged complicity in a N676million job scam.

 However, judge Justice A.I Chikere today granted Moro bail on self recognition. According to her, Moro has been a public servant without any record of criminality and will not jump bail.

 She also granted Moro's co-accused named Anastasia Daniel Nwobia and F. O Alayebami bail in the sum of N100 million each with one surety each in like sum. She fixed April 27th for commencement of trial. Moro and three others are standing trial for an 11-count charge bordering on abuse of procurement process and diversion of public funds including N676 million they illegally collected from immigration job applicants.

5 Killed, Many Injured at The Mile 12, Following Ethnic War Between Hausa's & Yoruba's(Photos)

 Not less than five persons were killed today in an apparent ethnic tussle at the popular Mile 12 Market in Lagos State.

The clash, which grounded business activities and hampered traffic flow for over three hours reportedly started on Wednesday night.

Several persons including police officers were also injured, just as buildings were razed.

Trouble started on Thursday morning after members of the Hausa community in the market stormed the Agiliti area to avenge the death of a motorcyclist.

A Yoruba man assaulted the unnamed motorcyclist with a cutlass and he died on Thursday morning.

The deceased Hausa man reportedly had an altercation with hoodlums and as he tried to drive off, he unknowingly hit the woman.

And following his refusal to part with ‘ticket money’, he was allegedly beaten up by the hoodlums who saw the accident as an opportunity to strike.

This attracted the fury of his colleagues and kinsmen who engaged the hoodlums in a free for all.

But the news of his death on Thursday morning allegedly reignited the fight with some mercenaries imported through the PSP truck.

Vehicles were vandalised, shops looted as people rushed into moving vehicles just to leave the scene of the crisis.

Firemen trying to put off an inferno were stopped by the hoodlums.

Man Sentenced to 200 Years in Prison For Killing His 4 Children Following a Feud With Wife

 A 40-year-old man in Kisii County, Kenya, was on Monday, February 29th, sentenced to 200 years in prison for killing his 4 children. Kisii resident judge, Joseph Karanja ruled that Misati will serve the sentence concurrently for 50 years for each of the four counts of murder he had been charged with.

 According to Standard Digital News, the case has been in court since 2013 when Misati was charged with killing his four children, Toto, 3, Brian, 9, Ontoyo, 7, and Naomi Mogutu, 5.

Lukas Misati committed the crime outside their rental houses in Egesa in Kitutu Chae Central, on the night of November 10, 2012 following a feud with his wife, Helen Kemunto (pictured)

In her affidavit, Kemunto told the court that her husband came home on the night of that fateful day, woke her up and said he wanted them to move. She refused and Misati attacked her with a knife. Kemunto escaped with injuries and managed to get treatment at a nearby hospital.

"I managed to escape and went to seek treatment at Kisii Level Five Hospital," the affdiavit reads. But when she returned home, she found the children missing.

"I thought they had shifted to another house. My husband called our landlady and told her to inform me that i pick my children from a nearby bush. However, one of the children lay dead at the doorstep while the other three bodies were in the nearby nappier grass"

A postmortem carried out on the bodies revealed that the deaths were caused by strangulation. Misati was on the run for one year before he was picked up by the police on November 21st, 2013. After his sentencing, Misati recounted that everything happened so fast to be able to tell what happened that night.

Shocking : Father Brutally Beats 8-year-old Son, Leaving Him With Fractured Hand & Leg(Photos)

 8 years old Chukwuma Okafor is presently on admission at the Kubwa General Hospital after his father brutally beat him, left cane marks on his body and a fractured hand and leg.

 According to reports, after beating him, Ebuka's father took him to school and dumped him there. Worried by his state, his teachers contacted a Nun who rushed him to the General Hospital in Kubuwa, Abuja. After undergoing series of X-ray, the result revealed he has fracture on his leg and hand as a result of beating with a strong object which the boy confirmed to be a pestle.

Incidentally, Hassan Maina Kaina, a reporter with VOA Hausa was in the hospital to check on his friend. He saw the boy's condition and encouraged that the matter should be reported to the Police.

 The school reported the matter to the Police in Kubuwa and Mr. Okafor (his father) has been arrested for child abuse. The school teachers confirmed that on several occasions, they made effort to intervene on the boy's situation but the father proved stubborn and even threatened them. The scars on the boy's head & back shows how long he has been maltreated by his own father.

Ebuka's father claims he is a disciplinarian and that his arrest by the police over the matter is an example of the kind of embarrassment his 8 year old son brings to his family. He is yet to state what his son did to warrant such beating.

Ikorodu School Kidnap : Abductors Reduce Ransom From N100m to N60m For The Release Of Female Students

 According to vanguard, the kidnappers have been discovered to be militants turned vandals, who stormed Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu and abducted three Senior Secondary School female students, have reduced the ransom to N20 million for each student. As at midnight Tuesday, the kidnappers who initially demanded for N100 million for each student, succumbed to passionate pleas by their contact in the school for the trio of Timilehin Olisa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo.

 Timilehin, is said to be the daughter of Ven. Victor Ayo Olusa, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos Anglican School Management Board.

According to the Nation, the kidnappers got the phone number of one of the girls' fathers and asked for the ransom.

 The Police and DSS are still investigating the matter and are trying everything they can to secure the release of the girls.

Some parents who spoke on condition of anonymity blamed the management of the school for lack of adequate security.

They said they had advised the school management several times to raise the fence at the School of Science and Technology, but the suggestion was ignored.
