Single motherhood is common in the entertainment industry with so many actresses and female musicians having kids outside wedlock. Questions are being asked about what could have prompted a 22-year-old university drop- out, simply identified as Jerry, to want to rape Mrs Eunice Ajayi Omoniyi, 57, wife of a pastor, in Akure,  Ondo State capital. The incident happened on February 20 at Peace-land Road, along Ilesa-Akure Expressway at about 5pm.The suspect, now on the run and has been declared wanted by the state Police Command, allegedly hacked his victim to death with a digger for rejecting the ungodly act.

Wole Soyinka on why he rejected Centenary Award-----"I reject my share of this national insult"

Proffesor Wole Soyinka is one of the few who rejected the Centenary Awards given out to mark Nigeria's 100 years..In his statement ,he said. I can think of nothing more grotesque and derisive of the lifetime struggle of several on this list, and their selfless services to humanity.
