Airport cleaner at (MMIA) steals N242m from passenger's luggage, flees to the UK

A 26 year old airport cleaner, Chibuzor Onuegbe  is on the run after allegedly smuggled N242 million out of the baggage store of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) undetected. He has since relocated to the United Kingdom.

His accomplices, Ifeanyi Francis, his girl friend Chioma Obinabor and his elder brother Kalu Faith Onuegbe have been arrested for assisting the principal suspect to commit the crime and flee the country.

According to Saturday Sun,the stolen money was packed in a bag in US dollar denomination totalling $1.5million which belongs to a middle aged woman (names withheld).  She was said to have deposited the sum at the MMIA baggage room on October 30, 2013 for safe keeping.  She discovered that the money was missing when she wanted to pick it.

Brasil 2014 - Jackie Appiah Named Ambassador For Ghana.

Ghana's A list actress Jackie Appiah, was on Thursday May 15, 2014 unveiled as Ghana’s ambassador to the 2014 World Cup. The event took place at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah the Minister of Youth and Sports said that as an ambassador she would be required to create corporate involvement in Ghana's preparation for the World Cup. The minister also said that she would be expected to make appearances at all events leading up to the World Cup.

An unidentified young man in Ilobu community, in the Irepodun LGA of Osun State, was found head deep in a grave in the early hours of Wednesday May 14th, after allegedly attempting to cut off the head of a corpse, buried in Tonto compound in the area, Saturday Tribune reports

The suspect’s accomplices fled in terror after seeing half his body get stuck mysteriously in the grave. His death has generated concern among the terrified residents of the Ilobu community.

It was gathered that the victim and his partners in crime allegedly came to Tonto compound in the early hours of Wednesday with a plot to exhume the corpse of an aged woman and sever her decomposed head, allegedly for ritual purposes. Continue...

Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Joke Silva, Iretiola Doyle, Bimbo Akintola, and several other actresses, staged the play, Hear Word, at Mushin Market in Lagos on Wednesday. 

The market show attracted a large audience, and the actresses did not interrupt their performance, despite the fact that it began to rain. Hear Word is a play, which explores the challenges everyday Nigerian women face. It will be staged at the MUSON Center in Lagos on May 23, 2014. It is being directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa.
