Woooow!!!!! How Co-tenant slaughtered our children

For Oliver Udeh and his family, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, was like any other day. There was no premonition to suggest that a calamity of immeasurable pro­portion was about to befall the family of eight, made up of husband, wife and six children, consisting of four boys and two girls.

However, in the evening of that day, the unexpected happened. Their co-tenant, a 50-year old man, identified as Mike Okeze from Abia State, reportedly got hold of a machete and descended on Oliver’s children, hacking them down one after the other.

At the end of the attack, two of the children, Favour, three, and Destiny, nine months, both boys, laid dead. Two others, Gift, seven, and Goodness, five, had their nose and wrist, respectively cut off by the rampaging farmer, who later fled into a bush.

This is the strange thing that has happened in the Oderinde family in Gboro Compound, Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government area of Oyo State.

Crime Reports learnt that Oderinde and the mother of his daughter, one Funmilayo (37), divorced each other 13 years ago when the girl was just three years old. The young girl was in her mother’s custody until when September 2013 when Oderinde insisted on taking his daughter into custody. Not only that, he insisted that his daughter should be sleeping in the same room with him.

 I just started doing this in my bedroom at night,'I've had no training, it was just something that I enjoyed doing. It's a fairly cheap hobby. I buy face paints from fancy dress shops and they only work out at £1 each.As well as that I use things I find around the house, CDs that I cut up, beads from necklaces, pots of glitter and old eye-shadows.'It's a horrible feeling to see all that work go literally down the drain, but once I've taken a picture there is no reason to keep it on,' she explained.

President Jonathan's visit to Synagogue yesterday| Photos

Pres. Jonathan visited the site of the Synagogue Church of All Nations building collapse yesterday where he commiserated with T.B Joshua and families of victims. Speaking to newsmen after the inspection, the president said there will be an investigation into the circumstances that led to the collapse of the building which has killed at least 86 people and injured 131 so far, most of them South Africans.
