Cultists murder bus conductor in broad daylight,dump corpse in Lagoon

A 26-year-old bus conductor, Sikiru Adebayo, has been killed by suspected cult members on Oniyanrin Street, Mile 12, Lagos.The assailants, who were suspected to be Aiye Confraternity members, stormed the area on Monday, last week and attacked the late Adebayo, inflicting machete cuts on his head before pushing him into a lagoon.

His corpse was said to have been swept by the current, making it difficult for his relatives to find it.

Punch learnt from residents of Mile 12 that the Osun State indigene was among a crowd of people who ran for dear life when the cult members unleashed mayhem on residents on the fateful day.

His elder brother, Moruf Adebayo, explained that they were still reveling in the hangover from the Sallah break when they were attacked.He said,

Nollywood actor, Clems Onyeka died after being hit by a stray bullet during a failed robbery attempt in Asaba,Delta State.According to Punch, Policemen engaged some robbers in a shootout in the bandits attempt to rob a bullion van.The actor was said to have been hit by a stray bullet while the robbers and the police escort engaged in a gunfight.Some policemen were reportedly seriously injured in the incident, which sent motorists and pedestrians along the DBS road and Summit road scampering to safety.A military detachment arrived the scene after the robbers had left.The soldiers helped in evacuating the injured to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
