A cruel couple who forced a five-year-old girl to drink so much soda and water after they found her drinking a soda they said was reserved for adults, have been jailed. They were charged for murder when the girl’s brain swelled from excess soda and died.

Randall Vaughn, 42, and Mary Vaughn, 59 (pictured above) pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated child neglect and were sentenced to 35 years in prison on Monday in Rogersville, Tennessee.

Negligence !!! Policemen jailed for losing rifles to free food in Lagos

Three policemen have bagged two years imprisonment after losing their rifles because of free food.

An Ebute-Metta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, sentenced them over negligence, which led to the stealing of their service rifles.

Sergeant Felix Okwa, 47; Corporal Ogu Romanus, 46, and Constable Sunday Okoh, 34 will also serve a six-month community service after completing their jail term.
