President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has relieved the Inspector-General of Police of his duties...
President Jonathan sacks IG of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba of his appointment and duties with immediate effect. President Jonathan has also appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase as Acting Inspector-General of Police, also with immediate effect.
Until his appointment as Mr. Abba’s replacement, Mr. Arase was the Head of the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department.

Insane!!! Mother threatens to stamp baby's head during vicious arguement with husband
Police are investigating footage of a mum appearing to stamp on a baby's head during a vicious row with her husband. Vyacheslav Samoilov, 32, began filming as an argument with wife Victoria, 30, escalated.The video appears to show her feigning to stamp on the18-month-old child's head while shouting into the camera in a park in Naginsk, near Moscow.
The film has since been passed on to police and social services who are looking into the incident. It is understood the baby wasn't injured.

One of Nigeria's most wanted robbers, Afam Omoba alias Obosi, was arrested after he was allegedly shot by a member of his own gang during an operation in Enugu. According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ebere Amaraizu, Obosi who has evaded the police for several years, was robbing a residence with his cohort when a young man in the house resisted the hoodlums and tried to fight back. In the ensuing confusion,his cohort tried to shoot the the young man but missed the target and instead he shot Omoba in the leg.
