Angry street Mob sets policeman’s vehicle ablaze for killing schoolboy

                                  

Mob has set ablaze a policeman’s vehicle on Abeokuta Road, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, for crushing a schoolboy to death. PUNCH Metro learnt that the boy, identified simply as Ope, was crushed at about 4pm while returning from school on Wednesday, and he reportedly died on the spot.

It was gathered that the deceased, who wore the uniform of Moslem Comprehensive Junior School, was riding a bicycle by the roadside when the vehicle hit him. The policeman who drove the vehicle, said to be an officer attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, was said to have abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene when he saw that the boy had died.

A teenager from China has amassed fans on the streets as well as the internet by walking on steel blades barefoot.The 13-year-old school girl, who is surnamed Xie, has followed in her father's footsteps as a street entertainer and now plans tour around the country, reports the People's Daily Online. Xie, can carry two jugs of water, each weighing 5kg, while performing the stunt. She can even write calligraphy while balancing on a knife's edge.The young performer has been practicing the art of blade walking with her father, Xie Jikui, since she was seven.

Jikui himself has been working as a street performer and magician since he was 10.

In order to take care of his daughter, he would often take her to work where she would sometimes join him on stage.

A 37-year-old, Drug baron apprehended in Lagos

                            

Sylvester Chukwunwendu who runs a notorious drug syndicate in Nigeria has been apprehended by the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA. Parading the suspect before newsmen in Lagos, the National Chairman of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade said Sylvester, who runs a methamphetamine production laboratory in his house at in the Ajao Estate, Isolo area of Lagos, was arrested at Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State following a tip off.
