Massachusetts woman's chicken gets $2,500 prosthetic leg
Madness in different places......A hen owned by a Massachusetts woman who specializes in chicken rehabilitation and rescue is getting fitted with a prosthetic leg Wednesday at Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Andrea Martin, of Clinton, says she is paying for the $2,500 operation out of her own pocket. She says the alternative is euthanization. The chicken, named Cecily, was born with a damaged tendon in the leg that makes it useless.
Brazilian Anti-Corruption Radio DJ shot Dead live on Air
Brazilian radio DJ Gleydson Carvalho was gunned down in a studio as he broadcast live yesterday. Two gunman burst into Radio Liberdade FM in Camocin, in north east Brazil, overpowered a receptionist and an engineer and stormed into the studio where Gleydson was talking to his listeners and shot him five times, three times in the head and twice in the chest. The killers left in a motorbike.
An hour before he was killed, the DJ had been campaigning against corruption. He was known for his long-standing campaign against government corruption. He'd even received death threats while on air
Meet the 14 year old Nigerian who won the US Kids Golf Teen World Championship
Georgia Oboh won after a great final round of 69 at the US Kids Golf Teen World Championship held at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club, North Carolina. The event ran from July 23 through July 25.
Georgia is currently a student of golf Academy at Manchester, UK and has represented Nigeria in various international events, the most current being the 2014 Junior Golf World Championship in Florida which held from December 27 to 30.

Lanre Makun, the head of production of AY Show and CEO of Lanre Makun Events today got married to the love of his life, Joy. The engagement party is still on-going at Owerri, Joy’s hometown. A lot of celebrities travelled down to be part of their special day. Ubi Franklin, Lillian Esoro, Gbenga Ajibade and so many others were all there to grace the occasion. 8 year old Boy with giant hands gets pioneering surgery after being dubbed 'the devil'
Kaleem suffers from a rare medical condition called macrodactyly, that means he has giant-sized hands. He's been excluded from school and cast out in his local village in India because he is believed to be "the child of the devil". Kaleem's own uncle believes that because his mother visited latrines when she was pregnant with Kaleem that it could have infected him with "demons".
A Channel 5 documentary titled 'The Boy with the Giant Hands', follows Kaleem and his family as they prep for life-changing surgery.
Kaleem is more than apprehensive but faced with a future of illiteracy and constant bullying it appears it is the only chance for him. As he spends his days playing with a rubber tyre by himself Kaleem says: "I don't go to school because the teacher says the other kids get scared when they look at me."
