Nigerian Beauty Queen Gets Dethroned For Refusing To Do Topless Photoshoot(See Photos)

Amarachi Joyce Mbatu was very glad on the 24th of January when she won the Face of VL magazine 2016.

Fast forward to less than two weeks later, the VL beauty pageant organisers that crowned her announced yesterday that Amarachi has been dethroned for reasons they said included lack of commitment, availability and not being able to meet up the the brand (VL) requirements.

However, according to Amarachi, she was dethroned because she refused to do a topless photoshoot. Here's what she posted on Facebook after the pageant released their statement dethroning her.

The first runner up, Damaris Obieke pictured below signing her contract, takes over from Amarachi.

The magazine really shoots topless photos of their models which they use for their magazine covers. Here are some covers I got from the internet. See more below...

Man Arrested For Murdering His Babymama & Their 2year Old Daughter Over Child Support Payments

Daron Boswell-Johnson, 25, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his baby mama, 26 year old NeShante Davis (pictured left) and their 2 year old daughter, Chloe Davis-Green, (pictured right). According to police reports, Daron lied-in-wait for the mother and child outside their home in Maryland, USA on Tuesday morning Feb. 2nd and as they came out around 7am, he shot both of them multiple times, killing them. He then fled the scene. He was caught the next day!

According to News4, the alleged killer was angry over $600 in monthly child support he had been ordered to pay. He had initially refused to pay it, asking for a DNA. He was confirmed to be Chloe's father in December 2015 through a DNA test conducted as part of a paternity suit.

The killer and his ex had had many confrontations over the child and child support payments but nobody suspected he would go this far.

James Ibori Has Not Been Released From UK Prison – Oghara Clan Sec-Gen Says

The Secretary-General of the Oghara Clan Union in the UK, Charles Abutoh has denied circulating media reports that former Delta State governor, James Ibori who is serving jail term in the UK for money laundering and corruption, was released from prison yesterday February 3rd. Oghara is Ibori's village in Delta state.

Speaking to DailyTrust, Abutoh said that the former governor was still serving his term at the Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire, England and will only be released after his assets confiscation trial scheduled for June this year has been done

“If you imprison someone for stealing, you can’t let them go without telling you what you say they stole. That is the essence of the confiscation trial. Once the trial is concluded and he is able to settle it, he will be released. They know Ibori sells papers, so some people just sit down and write whatever they like. I visited him in prison about three weeks ago and speak with him every other day. Things are still as they are, and everything is on course”.
Ibori has been in a UK prison since April 2012 for stealing and money laundering, among other offences.

APC Will Soon Collapse - Olu Falae Says

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Olu Falae, has said things would soon fall apart for the members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Mr. Falae, who is the national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), mocked the APC for branding itself a “mega party,” but said the party was likely to totally collapse soon.

Mr. Falae spoke at the SDP’s secretariat in Akure, capital of Ondo State, while welcoming Olu Agunloye, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party and close ally of Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, who defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Mr. Agunloye, a former Minister of Power and Steel as well as erstwhile Minister for Defense, had quietly defected from the PDP to the SDP last weekend in Akure.

Below is what Falae who was recently linked to the on-going probe on arms deal said;

“They have no plan for this country and they are not progressive-minded people. And that's why they have nothing to show in the last seven months that they have assumed power and leadership control of the country.”

“All Progressives Party (APC) will soon collapse because they are madeup of uncommitted party members who only believe in sharing the money,” he said.
