Nigerian Woman Arrested In U.S For Going Naked In Front Of Police(Photos)

A Nigerian woman kicked out a police car window after being arrested for disorderly conduct and getting naked in front of police officers.

The woman, Iyana Sade Llanos, 25, who is a dancer was taken into custody after police responded to a call of two women arguing at The Office Gentleman's Club in Miami, Florida.

Officers arrived at the club to find Llanos outside the strip club screaming profanities.

When the officers confronted her, she began taking off her clothes and continued shouting at them. The officers reportedly told Sade several times to put her clothes back on but she refused. She was said to have smelled of alcohol.

She then began telling the officers: 'Take me to jail.' Sade was placed in hand restraints and put in the back of the car, wrapped in a yellow blanket.

While she was en route to jail, she kicked out a police car window and had to be taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami to be treated for minor injuries, officers said.

Sade will likely be charged with criminal mischief. She will go to jail after she's released from the hospital.

Diezani Alison-Madueke Denies Awarding $24bn Oil Swap Deal Without Contract, Promise to Speak in Due Time

Former Minister for Petroleum resources, Diezani Alison Madueke has denied allegations made by former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Austen Oniwon, that she awarded $24 billion oil swap deals without a contract during her tenure as Petroleum Minister. Oniwon made the allegation when he appeared before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on Petroleum resources.

In a statement released by her spokesperson, Clem Aguiyi today February 24th, Diezani denied the allegation and said she will speak in due time...
“Following the recommendation of the then GMD of NNPC, the minister approved OPAs for a new term of 2 years commencing from 1st January 2015. The entities recommended by NNPC were Sahara Energy Resources Ltd, Aiteo Energy and Duke Oil. NNPC strongly recommended and outlined the benefits of the OPA over the SWAPs and put forward the case for migration from the OPA and crude exchange (SWAP) Contracts to OPAs fully. NNPC posited that the ‘experienced benefits of the OPA to the Federation’, would be much greater. There would have been little need to respond to this particular issue at this time considering that the former minister is still indisposed and would have wished to be left alone to recuperate. She will speak for herself in due time. It is nevertheless imperative that records are set straight so that Nigerians and posterity will know the truth. Mr. Oniwon was right when he stated that the 445000 barrels of crude oil were the property of NNPC, bought from the federal government of Nigeria at the prevailing rate and therefore as GMD, he did not need the Federal Executive Councillor Presidential Approval to enter into SWAP arrangements that will enable NNPC fulfill its statutory obligations. It was also correct that contrary to the picture being painted in the media, not more than 210,000 bpd out of the 445000 bpd lifted by NNPC to ensure adequate supply and distribution of petroleum products were traded under the SWAP arrangement. What the GMD required to execute the above was statutory approval from the minister for the companies! Refineries chosen by NNPC to participate in the SWAP arrangement as outlined in section 4 of the Petroleum Act and section 20 of the NNPC Act. It is however incorrect to say that the former minister gave ‘approval for extension’ unless ‘extension’ can legally be substituted for “renewal” because what the Minister gave (and the records are there) was approval for ‘renewal of contract’. And these approvals were given based on letters of request received from the GMD of NNPC.”the statement read

Photos : Meet Olusegun Obasanjo's 20 Successful Children

Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in his memoir, ‘My Watch’, revealed his number of children in the order they were born. Of the highly-successful 20 children, 19 are biological, except Kunle, his nephew. According to Obasanjo, he adopted Kunle as his biological child "in every sense of the word to compensate for his mother being deprived of an education by our father".

Obasanjo further said in his memoir, "All my children are frightfully independent and self-assertive. I have started observing the same traits in their children, my grandchildren. In their different areas of endeavour, my children have all made a mark. Eight of them have acquired PhD degrees in their individual areas of learning.

"Almost all the others have one or two master’s degrees. Iyabo, who blazed the trail for all of them, needs to be commended for being a good example and loving big sister." As listed by the ex-president in his memoir, his children are Iyabo, Busola, Segun, Gbenga, Deboye, Bola, Kofo, Biyi, Seun, Bisoye, Olu, Dare, Funke, Damilola, Jonwo, Dayo, Funso, Toyosi, Bukola, and Kunle.”

Hospital Stockpiles Corpses Outisde The Morgue in Delta State(Photo)

Mortuary attendants at the Bomadi General Hospital, in Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State, stacked corpses on improvised wooden platforms after embalmment and leave them there for several days even when it rained.

This unorthodox arrangement is due to insufficient space to preserve the corpses in the hospital’s overflowing mortuary.

Patients at the hospital have expressed disgust at the dilapidated condition of the health-care facility plagued by rats and mosquitoes, which has increased the fear of Lassa fever and Zika virus in the riverside community.

According to Niger Delta Voice, when they visited the morgue, reporters saw embalmed corpses covered with blankets and abandoned outside.

Workers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they were under pressure on daily basis because of the challenges faced by patients while the Doctors on duty refused to make any comment in regard to the situation.

A lawyer and human rights activist, E.U Opukiri, whose wife was on admission, narrated his experience:
“I am a barrister of nine years in the bar, I came to this hospital because of the health of my wife and my experiences here in these two days are pathetic. There was no electricity and water in the hospital premises, a state government hospital for that matter. Corpses stacked outside the morgue “In the night when the rechargeable lamp we were using went off, rats came out in large numbers and spread everywhere. Some of them came specifically for the bread I bought for my wife, dragging it with me.

“Out of fear, I took the bread and made it a pillow at the head-side of the bed. I was, however, uncomfortable with it because of its shape and so I decided to put it in a cupboard-like shelf there. When I opened the shelf, I saw that it was a haven for rats. There were so many rats that I became afraid being aware of the prevalent Lassa fever caused by rats. We could not sleep at night these two days we were there,” he said.
 Opukiri said:
“Again, the hospital morgue too is an eye sore; our revered and deceased parents are dried right outside in the sun like Bonga fish, which is right there (pointing to the morgue). Therefore, I want government to intervene in this health facility immediately. “As a matter of fact, I can categorically tell you that there is no water in this hospital. All the water facilities are dilapidated, which you can see for yourself. I had to go out of the hospital’s premises in the night to the riverside to fetch water for my wife.”
Leader of Bomadi Legislative Assembly, Hon Bekes Tonprebofa, who was a patient in the hospital, last year, complained about the state of the facilities and appealed to the state government to do the needful in the hospital.
