Popular Nollywood Actor Charles Okocha Who Survived 5 Gunshots Goes to Church With Family For Thanksgiving(See Photos)

 Last year, on December 27th, budding Nollywood actor Charles Okocha Aka Igwe 2Pac survived after a drunk police officer opened fire on him at a wedding ceremony in Nnewi.

The near fatal gunshots burst his intestines open but he miraculously survived.

On Sunday March 6, Charles Okocha, his parents and ONLY son, Sean Okocha did a thanksgiving service in church. The family praised God for giving the actor a second chance to live.

Man Sentences to Death For Killing His Brother, Cutting Off His Manhood & Feeding it to a Dog

  Salisu Ali, 27, of Zango village in Tafawa Balewa Local Government oof Bauchi State was yesterday March 8th sentenced to death by hanging for killing his 7 year old stepbrother, Yusuf, cutting off his penis and feeding it to the dogs.

 Ali was arrested by the Bauchi police and arraigned before Justice Muhammad Abubakar Sambo of Bauchi High Court yesterday.

 The prosecution counsel, Sabiu Gumba, during the trial, told the court that the accused lured Yusuf to the bush where he hit him with a stick, killed him instantly and then cut off his penis and gave it to a  dog to eat.

When interrogated, the accused said he committed the crime because of a misunderstanding he had with the deceased's mother who is his step-mother.

 Testifying against him in court, Aliyu Shehu, the accused and deceased father said his wife had sent their 7 year old son to buy detergent when he was lured into the bush by his elder brother. When Yusuf did not return on time, his wife began to search for him. She was later told that they saw him entering the bush with his brother. The youths then forced Salisu into the bush where he showed them the corpse of his brother.

The judge while delivering judgment, ordered that he be hung until he is certified dead

Ondo State's First Female Speaker And Her Deputy Impeached

 The first female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Jumoke Akindele(pictured) and her Deputy, Fatai Olotu have been impeached.

 They were impeached by 18 out of the 26 lawmakers. The impeachment took place at one of the lawmakers quarters in Akure, the Ondo state capital at about 10pm yesterday March 8th.

Iroju Ogundeji from Odigbo local government was elected as the new Speaker while Ayo Arowele from Owo local government was elected as the Deputy speaker. The reason behind the impeachment is yet unknown.

How Ooni Of Ife Met And Fell In Love With Wuraola, His Mother's Namesake

 Come Saturday, 12th March 2016, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi will take Wuraola Otiti Obanor as wife in a traditional marriage ceremony. Ooni's wife-to-be bears the same name as his late mother Princess Margaret 'Wuraola' Ogunwusi.

This will be the Ooni's second marriage as he was formerly married to Adebukunola {nee Bombata}. The wedding took place 2008 when the Ooni was 31 years of age.

According to a source who disclosed the details to Dawn-To-Dusk News,the Ooni of Ife met Wuraola Obanor in Lagos where he lived previously and owned a thriving real estate business Essential Homes headquartered in Lekki. It was in Lagos that the Ooni and Wuraola were said to have been introduced.

The source further revealed that: "Ooni is very happy and they get along so well. They're having a great time together.

There are so many qualities that Ooni found in Wuraola: aside her beauty, she's respectful, gracious, cool-headed, and homely. Friends have since said they have never seen Ooni as happy as he is with Wuraola, and her joy is evident whenever they are together".

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has a child, Adeola from a previous relationship.
