T.B Joshua is a Liar And a Fake - Malawi President Blast(Read Why)

Yesterday, the president of Malawi Peter Mutharika slammed Prophet T.B Joshua over a prophecy he made recently. Sometime in January, T.B Joshua said a president in Southern African will die before April 1st.. "End of February to April this year, peculiar months for Southern Africa." Joshua said

Reacting, Mutharika, who became president in 2014 said “I’m told there is a man in Nigeria called Joshua and he is saying that Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and Peter Mutharika will die before April 1. Let me tell you, Joshua… you will fail. What you did in 2012 will not happen again this year,” the president said on state TV. Now, what did Joshua do in 2012 that got the president scared?

In 2012 Joshua said  He predicted the death of a president of an unnamed southern African country. Mutharika’s brother, Bingu, who was president at the time, died within the predicted time frame.

President Mutharika then used his church building collapse to mock Joshua
"Why did he not foretell this tragedy? This all shows that he is a liar. He just wants to raise money”

Lai Mohammed Denies Saying Federal Government Has Lost Control of The Nigerian Economy

Recently, there were reports that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said that the Federal Government had lost control of the Nigerian economy.
The reports alleged that he said this while fielding questions from a radio station in Abuja.
However, Lai Mohammed who was a guest on Channels TV this morning, said the report is totally false.
"It is completely false. I saw the report and I spoke with the editor online of Thisday and he told me this was the story that was filed by his correspondent. That story was supposed to have emanated from a live interview I had with Radio Lagos FRCN and nothing like that happened.

Yes, it is true that I said that we inherited an economy where the price of crude went down and that that is not our making. That is not synonymous to saying that the economy is out of control. Yes the economy might be gloomy but the government is working to get it out of the mess"he said.
On whether APC was fair in its criticism of the last administration, Lai Mohammed said "Absolutely"

He said though the APC led government is facing the same challenges the PDP government faced, the present government was handling the various challenges in a much more robust and positive way. According to Lai, the Federal government has tackled terrorism and corruption within the last 9 months "Within nine months we have been able to tackle terrorism. Within nine months we have been able to tackle the issue of the corruption vice"he said He spoke on the recovered Abacha loot, saying that the funds will be utilized judiciously. Lai maintained that Saboteurs and vandals were largely responsible for the poor power supply experienced in the country.

Church Bans Topless Dresses to Weddings, Receptions

The Anglican Arch-Diocese of Enugu State has officially banned wearing of topless dresses to Church weddings, reception and services.

The Archbishop of the Arch-Diocese, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, disclosed this to NAN in Enugu today.

Chukwuma said that the ban was to return moral chastity on persons, especially women, who attend such functions in the Church.

He said that t Arch-Dioceses had directed priests and senior clergymen to henceforth inspect wedding gowns and approve them before the solemnisation of weddings.

The cleric also said that using veils to cover topless wedding dresses would not be allowed again in Anglican Churches in Enugu.

“I have directed ushers and wardens in various churches in Enugu to ensure that no topless dressed girl, lady or women enters into the Church under any guise.”

He said the order would be in force: “Whether it is the Church wedding, reception or any other programme celebrated in the church or within the church premises.”

“We would collaborate with the governors’ wives to organise seminars and workshops for fashion designers in the zone for them to join this campaign.

“Fashion designers should be instrumental in dissuading our girls and mothers from the habit of wearing topless dresses,” he said.

The archbishop said that the Church`s strong stance against indecent dressing would help to check sexual harassment and provocation, which lead to prostitution and rape in the society.

Let's be Fair on The MD of Lekki Homes - AY The Comedian

Popular comedian/actor AY, who was once an ambassador of Lekki Gardens, has written an open letter to Nigerians asking people to be fair to the MD of Lekki Gardens, Richard Nyong who was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ebutte Metta over the death of 35 people in the collapse of a 5-storey building which was being constructed by his company in Lekki, Lagos. Read AY's letter which he posted on his Instagram page below...

"The Collapse of the Lekki Garden building is indeed an unforeseen tragedy that still hits me all the way to my soul. My deepest sympathy and condolences to those people who have died, been hurt and people who lost their love ones. As a one-time ambassador to Lekki Gardens, it will be difficult to disengage myself from the company whose vision was designed to help every common man to becoming landlords in Nigeria. In times like this we are one family. Let us standup and pray for all the families who have suffered and wish them peace in knowing that their loved ones may have gone on ahead of them to be with God Almighty. I know there is nothing I can say to ease anyone's sorrow, but this is just to let these families know that my thoughts are with them. As we sympathize with the families of the bereaved, let me clearly state that every human life is of inevitable value. No sentiment or general conviction would justify the sacrifice of human life. For this reason I have maintained a position of silence because of my affiliations with Lekki Gardens. The care of human life and property is one of the core responsibilities of a good government. Hence I will also not blame the government and their ‘quick response’ actions against the management of Lekki Gardens. Finally, I do know that the social Media is now for the good, the bad and the ugly. It is even more of an open battlefield, where abuses fly from one to another, destroying lives, self-esteem and individual self-worth. As much as I still believe in the vision of Mr Richard Nyong’s Lekki Garden Real Estate project that has delivered over 6,000 homes to Nigerians, I want to hold hands with the Lekki Gardens family and grow stronger during this time of despair, and pray for a man whom has become a victim of circumstance. A man who truly cares for others. A man who has helped a lot of people within and outside his community. A man who single handedly handled the constructions and repairs of Government roads within Lekki. A creator of employment to thousands. This is not to position him above the law, it is a beacon for fairness within due process, peace and justice. #letsbefair ".
