"Trekking For President Buhari Was A Mistake" - Man Who Trekked From Lagos to Abuja Laments

 Hashimu Suleiman(pictured) last year vowed that he would trek from Lagos to Abuja to congratulate Buhari, if he won the presidential election.

 Buhari went ahead and won, Suleiman made good his vow and 'hoofed' it to Abuja (supposedly),

Less than a year on, this energetic man who trekked from Lagos to Abuja in celebration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in 2015 presidential election has described his action as a big mistake.

Suleiman said he regretted trekking for Buhari who has now made life unbearable for the masses.

According to Dailypost, the man expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the president has been ruling Nigeria in the last one year.

Reports quoted him saying, “Removing fuel subsidy at this hard time is not palatable to hear, when so many workers and labourers can hardly put food on their table, many companies have folded up, and cost of living is very high.

“Nigerians have been hoping for a positive change for a very long time, enduring hardship and now the Federal government wants to make things worse for the masses.”

  A child kidnapper was yesterday caught, beaten, stripped and paraded naked at Owode Ajegunle Ikorodu road area of Lagos state.

 It was a victorious moment for the residents because for the past few months, over five children had been reported missing from the same area.

Luck ran out of the kidnapper, a woman in her late 30s/early 40s as she was trying to escape with two children she abducted in front of a primary school.

 A woman in the environs saw her, identified one of the children she was carrying and suspected foul play. She immediately called the child's mother, and the mother of the child responded immediately that she had been searching for the child.

 Without further ado, the woman who saw the child alerted people around the community and the kidnapper was apprehended and given the beating of her life. Thereafter she was stripped naked and paraded before she was rescued by the Nigerian Police.

The kidnapper reportedly confessed she sells each child to her buyers for the measly sum of 50,000 naira. Imagine, a human life for 50k.

Police Arrest Fake Lawyer In Ogun(Photo)

 47 year old Ayodele Balogun(pictured above) has been arrested by the Ogun state police command for parading himself as a lawyer in the last 10 years without training.

 The fake lawyer was arrested by some police officers attached to the Otta Division of the Ogun Police Command following a petition by a victim who he duped of N140,000.

 Speaking on his arrest, the spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said

“While the police detectives were on with their interrogation, one of the revered legal practitioners in the area alerted the police of the suspect’s criminal antecedents and urged the police to widen the scope of their interrogation, hence the confession of Ayodele Balogun, who has been practicing at a popular chamber in otta for a decade, to be a fake legal practitioner. The suspect and others,who might be indicted in the course of police investigation,be charged to court without delay and his(their) details be sent to the Nigerian Bar Association and other concerned groups/bodies for necessary action,” Adejobi said

Husband Divorces Wife On Wedding Night Because She Was Too Busy 'Pinging'

 A husband divorced his wife only hours after their wedding because she was too busy texting her friends to consummate the marriage.

The groom took his Saudi bride back to their hotel room after the ceremony in the city of Jeddah.

But when he tried to get intimate with her, he was pushed away by his wife because she was trying to respond to congratulatory messages from friends on her phone

She became angry when he asked her to stop. 

nA relative told Saudi daily Al Watan: 'The groom tried to get closer with her and more intimate, but he was shocked when she ignored him, not responding to his words and action, MailOnline reports.

 'When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were.' 

The argument became heated and the groom stormed out of the hotel, telling his wife that he wanted a divorce. 

Gulf News, which cited Al Watan, reported that a court had referred the case to a reconciliation committee, but the husband insisted on a divorce.

 According to the victim, Elomachukwu Agbara, her father, Ifeanyi Agbara, poured kerosene on her and lit her up because she did not come home on time from her tailor's place. 

 Asked why he set her on fire, Ifeanyi said "She had been out of the house and we asked her to come inside the house, she refused. So we poured Kerosene on her and that was it. It was when she wanted to run away. Nobody used matches on her, it was a lighter" - he said
