Kim Kardashian will take over an entire hospital floor for her birth

The 32-year-old reality star is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July and she wants her baby's first moments to be "idyllic", so she has booked a whole floor to herself at her chosen facility for when she goes into labour.

An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kim's taking the preparations for childbirth very seriously. She wants everything to be perfect and, luckily for her, money is no object.

"Kim's been reading about how monumental the first few moments of a baby's life are and wants her child's entry to the world to be idyllic. They've booked an entire floor at their chosen hospital and her room will be totally sound-proofed before the delivery."

Complete privacy

The raven-haired beauty will also create a relaxing ambiance with blue, green and purple lighting, in addition to calming music, to help keep her calm.

"She wants all outside influences and noise of traffic muted," the source added.

"Kim's read that mood lighting and atmosphere are important, so she plans to reflect the sounds of nature with a trickling water and soothing wind CD."

Kim is not the first star to want complete privacy when they give birth.

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z - who is friends with Kanye - rented an entire floor at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital when the singer delivered their daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012 to keep away prying eyes.

Jolie visit Rwanda rape victims

London - Angelina Jolie joined British Foreign Secretary William Hague to visit Rwanda on Monday in a bid to encourage world powers to do more on tackling rape and sexual assault in war zones.

Britain's Foreign Office released a picture of the US film star and Hague getting off a British-flagged jet in the central African country.

They are also to visit the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo this week in a trip aimed at forcing the Group of Eight world powers to address the issue more seriously.

New international protocol

Hague said he would be making it his priority when he hosts the annual meeting of G8 foreign ministers next month in London.

"This visit is about hearing first hand from people who have endured rape and sexual violence during the conflict in the eastern DRC," Jolie said.

"We want to learn the lessons that their experience holds for how the world can protect thousands of women, men and children at risk of rape in many other conflict zones.

"And we want to persuade governments around the world to give this issue the attention it deserves.

"Unless the world acts, we will always be reacting to atrocities, treating survivors rather than preventing rape in the first place."

Jolie and Hague are calling on the G8 to agree that rape and sexual violence constitute breaches of the Geneva Conventions governing warfare.

They also want a new international protocol on the documentation and investigation of the issue.

'Real, meaningful action'

Hague said: "More often than not the international community looks away, the perpetrators of these brutal crimes walk free and the cycle of injustice and conflict is repeated. We have to shatter this culture of impunity.

"It is time for real, meaningful action by the governments of the world to say that the use of rape as a weapon of war is unacceptable, to bring perpetrators to justice and to lift the stigma from survivors.

"This is my personal priority for the meeting of G8 foreign ministers."

The campaign will also be taken to the United Nations Security Council in June and the UN General Assembly in September.

Skip out of Town

Prince Harry skips Las Vegas on a US trip.

London - Officials say Britain's Prince Harry is returning to the United States - but this time he's skipping Las Vegas.
St James's Palace said on Monday that the 28-year-old prince will travel to the US east coast as well was Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
His trip will include trips to Arlington National Cemetery, Walter Reed National Medical Centre and the competition between British and American veteran athletes in the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs.
He will also visit Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey.
Harry, who is third in line to the throne, made headlines on another US visit, when he was caught frolicking in the nude after what was alleged to have been a game of strip billiards in his Las Vegas hotel room.

How many confessed souls gets forgiven

Governor Godswill Akpabio has confessed to manipulating the result of a 2007 Peoples Democratic Party  senatorial primary election in  the state by single-handedly replacing the winner with the name of his preferred candidate.
Akpabio, who is also the PDP Governors Forum chairman, made the confession  when a delegation of the National Good Governance  Tour  visited the state on March 9.
The tour, which was recorded with a  video camera,  was led by the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku. The video which went viral  on Sunday was as of 8.47pm viewable on premiumtimes.com, the website of an online Nigerian news portal, Premium Times.
The governor made the confession while  defending his claim of being fair to the people of Ini and Ikono.
He was responding to a question that he had not impacted the lives of the people of the two communities, especially in the area of roads, schools and other public infrastructure.
The communities  form part of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.  Akpabio said he struck out the name of the person who won the PDP primary election  and replaced it with  Aloysius Etuk.
Etuk went ahead to win the senatorial election. He remains a serving senator  having won a reelection in 2011.
The governor said, "The people of Ikono and Ini (Local Government Areas) from 1960 have never produced a Senator.
"I used my own hand to strike out the name of the person who has won before, and I said it is important for me to give that region a Senator in 2007, and I produced Senator Aloysius Etuk for you; that's where he comes from."
Etuk, who was in attendance at the town hall meeting, confirmed the claim when Akpabio asked him to stand up and "take a bow".
The governor's confession shocked  many in attendance.
The governor, who was later hinted of the implication of his claim then  sought to further clarify it.
He said, "So,  I must say that I thank all of you, including the members of the National Assembly led by Senator Aloysius Etok. And when I said that I made Aloy(sius Etok) to become a senator in 2007, I need to explain it so that you don't think that I wrote his name and he became a senator.
"During the primaries of  the  PDP, we zoned the Senate seat to his federal constituency. And from the federal constituency, he  came  first in the primaries. That happened in the PDP. So we said since he was the first among the people who came from his federal constituency for the primaries, then he must be the one to become the senator."
