Islamic Council Proposes Men Should be Allowed to 'Lightly Beat' their Wives for a Variety of Offences'

Pakistan's 20-member Council of Islamic Ideology has proposed allowing a man to 'lightly beat' his wife if she commits some 'offences'. The council which is a constitutional body of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan advises the government but cannot make laws.

Amongst its recommendations, it suggests women can be beaten for a raft of offences including refusal to have sex without a religious excuse, failure to bathe after intercourse and periods, for not wearing hijabs, or for speaking so loudly that strangers can hear them.

The bill goes ahead to recommend that women should be banned from military combat, welcoming foreign delegations and appearing in advertisements, and must have spousal permission to give monetary support to somebody.

Female nurses should be banned from taking care of male patients and there should be no-co-education after primary school, it suggests.

The bill advises that a woman must not interact with strangers and that abortion after 120 days should be declared murder.

However, it says that a woman can participate in politics without the permission of her parents and that anyone who tries to force women to marry should be jailed for ten years.

The bill didn't receive the council's unanimous approval, three of its members rejected some of the proposals in the bill during heated discussion led by Chairman Muhammad Khan Sheerani while the only female member of the council, Dr Sameeha Raheel Qazi, was not present on Wednesday when it was being discussed.

In One Year, President Buhari & APC Ruined Nigeria’s Economy - Governor Fayose Blast

Outspoken Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has lamented that in just one year of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of President Mohammadu Buhari, the country’s economy was ruined so much that States could no longer pay workers’ salaries, millions of jobs were lost, prices of essential commodities skyrocketed to the extent that Nigerians could no longer afford common tomato to cook and the middle class wiped away completely.

In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; “Despite President Buhari’s electoral promise to reduce petrol pump price from the N87 per litre that he met it and make life more bearable for Nigerians, he increased the price of petrol to N145, increased electricity tariff in spite of lack of power supply.” He said; “food scarcity last experienced when Buhari was military Head of State between 1983 and 1985 has returned to the country, with Nigerians being unable to feed.”

The governor who said Nigerians should remove party, ethnic and religious sentiments and ask themselves what they have benefitted in the last one year, reminded Nigerians that “Foreign Reserve was $28.6 billion, Excess Crude Account (ECA) was $2.07 billion, dollars was less than N200, petrol was N87 per litre and most importantly, one bag of rice was N8, 500 and power generation was over 5,000MW when Buhari assumed office.

The statement read in part; “Today, power generation is less than 1,400, Foreign Reserve has reduced to $26.5 billion, dollar is now over N350, petrol has increased to N145 per litre and one bag of rice is now over N15, 000!” “I read the president’s speech and all that I saw was a president still sounding like he was campaigning for votes more than one year after winning election.

It is disappointing that the President’s speech was once again about promises, not about what has been done. “Not even a mention of one kilometre of road tarred by this administration, no single job was created except the ones created in Central Bank of Nigeria for their cronnies and children, not a single megawatt of electricity generated. This is shameful.

“The reward Buhari gave to Nigerians for electing as president was to increase petrol pump price by N58.50 and get the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to justify the increment by saying Nigeria was broke! “In other words, President Buhari increased petrol pump price because the country was broke and it needed to shore up its revenue base. The N58.50 added to the previous pump price of N86.50 was an Indirect Tax imposed on each litre of petrol purchased by Nigerians. “It is even more worrisome that we have a presidency that is not coordinated.

The president says one thing; his vice says another while his ministers also singing discordant tunes. This is a clear sign of cluelessness and unpreparedness for governance. “I cannot but agree with the position of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Obiageli Ezekwesili and others that President Buhari has no clue economically.

The situation of Nigeria today is like the visually impaired leading those who can see. But I warned Nigerians, and I am still warning Nigerians now that as it happened in 1984 when our President was a military Head of State, the economy of Nigeria may collapse! “Therefore, as we look forward to the end of the honeymoon of Buhari’s presidency, I wish to state that if supposed men of honour are going underground because of possible harassment and intimidation, I, Peter Ayodele Fayose will not; because this is our fatherland.

“Most importantly, those regarding President Buhari as a saint should know that he is not. The president is not also the Almighty God that cannot be questioned. After all, the beauty of democracy is in credible opposition.

“Today, I have expressed my mind concerning the one year of Buhari’s presidency as I did before the election. This I have done basically to remind Nigerians that I told them then, and it is happening now. “May God be with the President and bless Nigeria.”

Peace Mass Transit Accident : Two Survivours Tell What Really Happened

According to hospital sources that handled the accident. Out of the 15 passengers in that bus, only two people survived - One of the survivors is Mrs. Chidinma Eze, a 32-year-old widow and businesswoman from Ubakala in Abia State. She is based in Port Harcourt. The other survivor is a 33-year-old dealer in cosmetics, based in Aba. And they have shared gory details about the accident below.

The rest died. It was gruesome. Sadly, there was a baby and a nine-year-old boy among the dead, according to a hospital source.

SunNewsonline reports that the first, a two-year-old girl, was travelling with her father. The boy might have traveled with another adult. They all perished in the accident. Their bodies mangled with the body of the bus.

“Blood flowed like river that day,” said the hospital staff. “It was a tragedy; I have never seen such a gory scene since I was born. The head of the driver was ripped open and one could see the brain from up. The crowd of people who besieged the scene of the crash was large. People wept like babies. Even some doctors could not bear the sight and ran away. It was a black Sunday morning.”

The ghastly auto crash happened at the Umuahia end of the Enugu/ Port Harcourt Expressway, precisely at the Ofeme Junction. It involved a MAN-Diesel engine truck, with registration number Plateau JJN 782 XB and a 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus, with registration number, AKL 895 YA, belonging to Peace Mass Transport company.

The accident, which occurred last Sunday, according to the people at the scene, was the worst in recent times. It was ghastly with heartrending rebounds.

According to the hospital staff:
“One lady was at the hospital the previous day in search of her daughter who bade them good bye that morning before she departed for her school at Enugu. We advised her to visit the mortuary. On her arrival there, she found her daughter among the corpses deposited there. She was devastated and could not believe it was true”. It was as bad as that!
It had been reported that all the 15 passengers in the bus died only for people to discover that two among them survived.

Speaking to Saturday Sun at the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia where she is recuperating, Chidinma, who sells diesel said that the bus loaded at Peace Mass Transit Central park in Aba and headed for Enugu.

“I live in Port Harcourt, but I had to come out to join the bus because I could not catch a direct bus going to Lokpanta where I do my diesel business. I was trying to catch sleep when the accident happened. Our bus crashed into the trailer head-on and the people inside the bus started screaming; some calling the name of Jesus, others calling their fathers and mothers. I think I fainted because I became conscious on the way to the hospital. When the Federal Road Safety Corps officials were taking us to the hospital, I had regained consciousness, but I did not open my eyes because I was feeling pains all over my body.”

She confirmed that there were 15 passengers inside the bus and the windows of the bus were shut because the air-conditioner was on. It was also raining heavily at the time .
“Immediately the bus crashed into that trailer, I lost consciousness. Whether the bus sommersalted or not, I didnot know. I can’t even remember the side through which I was brought out. All I can remember is that I was on the back seat with three other passengers.

“We had passed Abia Tower and heading to Okigwe. The driver was driving on a very high speed inside the rain. We entered the bus about 9am, but I did not check the time when we arrived at the spot where the accident occured,” she narrated.
Meanwhle, Chidinma was full of gratitude to God for saving her life:
“I can’t thank God enough. If human beings were the ones that select those who died in that accident, definitely, I would have been one of them. But just look at me, a poor sinner and God, in His infinite mercy, decided to save my life. God gave me life on top of life; brought me back from the land of the dead. You could see children, the elderly, the young and the handsome and beautiful, all stone dead. But God decided to keep me. It amazes me each time I look back at my life. I will remain grateful to God for the rest of my life.”

The second survivor, Nwodo, was traveling from Aba to his hometown, Akpugo, Enugu State. He had informed his parents that he was coming to see them that morning and they had even prepared a meal for him..

He boarded the bus to Enugu but it crashed in Umuahia. He had been counted among the dead and was taken inside the pick-up van belonging to the FRSC that took the corpses to the hospital. Nwodo was lying among of the dead when suddenly, at the intensive care unit of the hospital, he moved his body. Immediately, he was removed ftom the heap of corpses inside the van and rushed into the ward for medical attention.

When Saturday Sun visited the hospital, he was sleeping. It was said that he could not speak as he was badly wounded from his waist downwards.

A hospital source told Saturday Sun that initially, he could not breathe well until they inserted a pipe inside him to drain bad blood out of his body .
“The blood that was coming out of him was very black, now, the color is changing gradually.”

Emmanuel, his younger brother, who was with him in the hospital, said that one of the doctors called and informed him that his brother was involved in an accident and he came to see him.
“I am very happy because the information that was given to them was that everybody died in the accident except two people. I thank God that my brother is among the two survivors. I thank God who knows the reason why he brought him back to life; this is somebody who had already been counted among the dead.

“The doctor told me that he has injury in his spinal cord and on the head.
Four victims were brought into the hospital alive, but two died afterwards.

Among those who died was Obidiegwu Udogu, the first son of Chief Donald Udogu (SAN), an Aba-based legal practitioner. Tragically too, he died with his two-year-old daughter, Jasmine.

A relation told Saturday Sun that Obidiegwu left home that morning with his two-year-old daughter to see his mother in-law who resides in Enugu. Unfortunately, both the father and child did not arrive their destination safely. It was also learnt that the remains of the little girl were buried on Wednesday, while “the family would meet later to decide when Obidiegwu will be buried”.

Presidency Lists President Buhari’s Achievements After First Year in Office(See)

The presidency has released a list detailing all the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last one year. He marks one year in office tomorrow May 29th. The list as published by the News Agency of Nigeria contains the following:

SECURITY:
The relocation of the Nigerian Military Command Centre to Maiduguri, since May 2015, contributed to the success in the fight against insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country.

As at February 2016, the total number of persons rescued by the Nigerian troops during the ongoing operations in the North East came to 11,595.

Since December 2015, the well-motivated and rejuvenated Nigerian Military have regained all Nigerian territories previously under Boko Haram control.

Prioritized regional cooperation in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency and violent extremism, through the operations of the 8,500 strong Multi-National Joint Task Force in N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, currently headed by a Nigeria military general.

Nigeria has provided $21million USD to the Task Force since June 2015 and is committed to an additional $79 million USD, bringing the total of Nigeria’s commitment to the Task Force to 100 million USD.

Cohesive international support in the fight against terrorism and assistance to victims and communities affected by terrorism, following President Buhari’s meeting with G7 leaders and other world powers.

In May 2016, Nigeria hosted a Regional Security Summit to boost military operations against Boko Haram and forge a global support for the rehabilitation of the IDPs and rebuilding of the North East.

In June 2015, the United States announced a 5-million-dollar support for the fight against the terrorists in the sub-region.

In April 2016, during the visit to Ms Samantha Power, the U.S Ambassador to the UN to Nigeria, Cameroon and Chad, the U.S Government further announced an additional $40 million USD for humanitarian assistance in the sub-region

Recruitment of additional 10,000 persons into the Nigeria Police Force is ongoing. The recruitment will address the manpower gap which currently exists in the Nigeria Police
Overhaul of the dysfunctional topmost hierarchy of the Nigerian military which resulted in optimal result and degradation of the Boko Haram elements.

Was able to bring back our hitherto military allies; which saw the United States and UK governments commit their resources to the fight against the insurgents after previously backing out of negotiations with the previous administration. The Israeli government has also indicated interest in the fight against insurgency.

Introduction of the motor cycle battalion (This is so that the Nigerian Army can travel to remote areas that were not accessible to cars/trucks)

Realigned our partnership with regional allies by embarking on foreign visits which resulted in bilateral and multilateral agreements to tackle insecurity back home.

No more roadblocks and curfews, which normally impeded free flow of movement.
Continuous monitoring of activities in the region of war through the use of satellite images and geographical information system is helping in fighting insurgency and strategizing against the enemy.

The trips to our neighbouring countries showed the resolve of the President to push Boko Haram elements out of existence by going for the jugular of the group, cutting their arms, food supply routes. Support has thus been mobilized through the Multinational Joint Task Force.

Another major stride is the Trans National Organized Crime (TNOC) where the president got partnership with regional allies in the fight against the proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons.

As part of the reconfigured military partnership, the United States donated 24 mine-resistant armoured vehicles (MRAP) which had protected the Nigerian troops from the menace of Improvised Explosive Devices. Today we have less causalities.

Reached out to the G7 countries and achieved the following: intelligence sharing; technical military training; arms deals/donations

Overhauling of NIMASA. A reversed policy of the past administration where national infrastructural assets were given to militia leaders to protect as against established bodies like the Nigerian Navy was stopped.

The President Buhari government has drafted the army to partner with other security agencies in ensuring the security of our national infrastructure and this is already yielding the desired results.

A major ring of pipeline vandals in Lagos state were captured recently in a joint operation by security forces led by the army.

The government has renewed its fight against oil bunkering
The Nigerian Navy has recorded tremendous success lately in apprehending vessels used by oil thieves. This operation has improved security on our water ways and it has also helped improve the revenue of government.

Deployment of sophisticated weapons to ensure vandalism is contained by setting up a pipeline security force in stamping out the menace.

Effective Management of the Separatist Biafran Movement

Improving the technical capacity of Nigerian Police Force. We now have a forensic lab and GSM tracking device. We now have a more IT integrated Police force.
Restructuring of Nigerian Immigration to stop cross border crimes.

NSCDC has become more proactive in the prevention of pipeline vandalization, with arrest of several pipeline vandals.

Joint operations involving various security outfits in curbing the menace of the herdsmen in the country has been set up.

The use of surveys and updated mappings across the country as strategies for preventing threats among ethnic groups in Nigeria.

CORRUPTION
Right from the moment he won the Presidential Election in 2015, the impression of the President as a ‘‘no nonsense and incorruptible leader’’ sent a signal to looters of public funds, with many of them returning funds that had been stolen under the previous administration.

To create a frame work for prosecuting the war against corruption and institutionalize probity, President Buhari set up an Advisory Committee on War Against Corruption.

The anti-corruption battle is gaining ground with several high profile cases already in the courts. The administration is being guided by the rule of law in the prosecution of corruption cases.

President Buhari enlisted the support of multilateral institutions like the World Bank and IMF, security agencies, Western countries and other friendly nations to locate and repatriate stolen assets.

At a London summit on anti-corruption, President Buhari announced that Nigeria will begin the full implementation of the principles of the OPEN contracting data standards.
In the first quarter of 2016, President Buhari embarked on trips to the Middle East to sensitize the governments on the need to repatriate stolen assets and hand over the looters for trial in Nigeria. In January, Nigeria and UAE signed Judicial Agreements on Extradition, Transfer of Sentenced Persons, Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Matters.

In March 2016, the Federal Government and the Swiss Government signed a Letter of Intent On the Restitution of Illegally-Acquired Assets forfeited in Switzerland. Under the agreement, Switzerland will repatriate $ 321 million USD illicitly acquired by the Gen. Sani Abacha family.

In March 2016, the Presidential Committee set up to probe contracts awarded by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) from 2011 to 2015 announced the recovery of over N7 billion from indicted companies and individuals.

ECONOMY
Implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) has provided greater visibility of government revenues and cash flows. Between June 2015 and April 2016, the Federal Government TSA collection clocked N3trillion.

To further instill fiscal discipline, President Buhari directed the closure of all multiple accounts in Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government, thereby plugging loopholes for leakages with new technology.

The opaque accounting structure of the NNPC has been reconstructed to be more transparent with the closure of more than 40 accounts. As a corporate entity, NNPC is now accountable and more transparent in operations, publishing its monthly financial reports.
The President also resolved the lingering shadowy oil swap deals that had cost the country billions of dollars and left it at the mercy of a few rich Nigerians.

To alleviate the suffering of Nigerians in September 2015, President Buhari directed the Central Bank of Nigeria to disburse N689.5 billion as bailout to 27 states of the federation to pay salaries.

To stimulate the economy and reduce poverty, in April, 2016, President Buhari approved deferment in the payment of the bailout as states were still reeling under the burden of the fall in commodity prices.

Records of more than 34,000 ghost workers draining the nation’s resources were expunged from the Federal Civil Service, saving N2.29 billion monthly.

In 2015, President Buhari ruled out the appointment of a government delegation for pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. By this decision, the government saved about one million U.S dollars and N30m of local expenses.

Enforcement of the Bank Verification Number: Also the BVN has ensured that the menace of “ghost workers” are being identified and dealt with, while looters with multiple accounts can no longer hide their loot undetected.

Social Protection: Groundwork for social intervention/palliatives for the poor is being put in place as data is being collated by the economic planning office of the VP in conjunction with the World Bank.

Reorganization/restructuring of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) into a focused, accountable and transparent institution with autonomous Units (Upstream; Downstream, Gas & Power; Refineries; Ventures and lean Group Headquarters)

Reduction of operational deficits in NNPC by over 50% as at March 2016 as a result of Increased Transparency and Commercial focus.

Conduct of NNPC outstanding Annual Audits from 2011 to 2014, and the publication of Monthly Financial and Operations Reports to ensure transparency
Introduction of third party financing in order to eliminate direct funding of cash calls by the Federal Government.

Renegotiation of existing service contracts under Joint Venture and Production sharing contracts (PSC) Operations by about 30% leading to operational efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

Elimination of the Offshore Processing Agreement (OPA) through the introduction of the Direct Sales and Direct Purchase (DSDP) scheme with reputable off-shore refineries thereby yielding annual savings of US$1 billion
Resuscitation of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries presently producing about 7 million litres of products per/day.

Repair of products pipe lines and the resuscitation of supply of products from Atlas Cove-Mosimi- Ibadan- Ilorin after a six year lull.

Repairs of Escravos/ Warri and Bonny/Port Harcourt crude oil pipe lines
Introduction of a Price Modulation framework for downstream petroleum product pricing to encourage responsiveness to market dynamics
Guided deregulation of the downstream sector to allow market forces determine product price and eliminate subsidy payments

Introduction of the initiative on refinery co-location to increase domestic refining capacity and minimize the drain on scarce foreign exchange for product importation
Commenced policy reforms for gas monetization, flare out and infrastructure development, to fast track power supply and economic diversification.

POWER
Under President Buhari, the Federal Government agreed to a 50 million Euro (about N11.15 billion) loan agreement with French government for capacity-building and upgrade of power training facilities in Nigeria.

Nigeria signed a $237 million agreement with World Bank to improve power.
Chinese solar power manufacturers agreed with the Federal Government to set up solar panel manufacturing business in Nigeria.

President Buhari has signed an agreement with the Chinese government to improve Nigeria’s power infrastructure.

ENVIRONMENT
Presidential approval for the Implementation of United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) report 2010 for the clean-up of Ogoniland with regards to oil pollution and inclusion of stakeholders in the process of implementation.
Continuation of the implementation of the Great Green Wall project to fight and contain desertification in Northern Nigeria initiated by past administration.

JUDICIARY
Since assumption of office, President Buhari has maintained a clear stance on the rule of law and respect for separation of
powers.

The President has focused on the strengthening of institutions with key appointment of professionals.
Appointment of 30 new Federal High Court Justices

NATIONAL IMAGE
On assumption of office, the President undertook some foreign trips both within and outside Africa to re-establish Nigeria’s position in the global arena and solicit support for Nigeria and Africa.

President Buhari has continually pushed the agenda for enhancing Nigeria’s global image by always demonstrating Nigeria’s credentials in the 2015 general elections, which saw the country scoring high on peaceful transition.

President Buhari strongly supported the emergence of a Nigerian, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, as President of the Africa Development Bank. (NAN)

Man Finds Out New Girlfriend is a Man, Commits Murder(Photo)

A 21 year old Texas College football player, Carlton Champion Jr.(pictured left) met his 24 year old girlfriend and fell quickly in love with her. His new girlfriend was Tyrone Lee underwood who went by the name Tyra. The couple had been chatting for several weeks on a dating mobile app and quickly fell in love but hadn't met each other face to face.

Tyra had a feeling that Champion was cheating on her and decided to end the relationship by text. Because Champion was so in love with Tyra, he sent a text to her apologizing saying he would make it up to her.

Champion was seen on surveillance camera leaving his College dorm at about 2 am.
Tyler Police were called by neighbours who said they heard multiple gun shots in the area and a suspicious vehicle. When Police got there, they found a Toyota Camry off road and a dead black male behind the wheel who had been shot.

Police interviewed Underwood's friends and checked her computer and found out that the last person she chatted with was Champion.

In their investigation, police interviewed Champion's father, Carlton Champion Sr., who "stated that he heard Carlton Jr. was meeting the victim and thought the victim was a female."

Officer Nathan Elliott wrote in the arrest affidavit. "According to Champion Sr., Carlton Jr. was supposed to get some type of sexual favor from the victim but realized the victim was a male."

He was promptly arrested on Thursday and charged with murder.

The campus surveillance video also showed Champion returning to his college dorm just 15 mins after he had initially left, wearing a black leather jacket. The jacket was tested and it came out positive for blood.

He is being held at Smith County jail and his bail has been set for $1million.

Graphic Photo : Man Kills His Wife Over Allegations of Infidelity

Lagos state police command have arrested one Sogei Jafairu, a native of Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo state for allegedly killing his wife, Roselyn, over accusations of infidelity, at their home in Araromi Street in Oshodi area of Lagos yesterday May 27th.

According to Vanguard, Jafairu had traveled out of the state for a week and only returned home on Thursday May 26th. His wife Roselyn prepared food for them to eat which he allegedly poisoned.

Their 16 year old son, Richmond Sogei, narrating what happened said
“My daddy and mummy never ate together since I grew up knowing them as my parents. We only saw them eating together for the very first time yesterday (Thursday).

Mummy came back from the market with some drinks she said we would use to celebrate Children’s Day today (yesterday). We were surprised when we saw them eating beans and garri from same plate but concluded that it could be as a result of my kid sister’s birthday that was celebrated same day. We all went to bed without any thought of the unexpected. But at 3am my daddy woke me up and instructed me to go and meet my mum in the bedroom. I left the sitting room where I slept with my aunt and three siblings. As I was going to urinate, I saw daddy vomiting in the bathroom. I went outside to urinate and when I came back, I saw him lying down in the bathroom. When I flashed the torchlight, I noticed that he was vomiting some black substance. He also excreted on himself. Out of fear, I rushed to wake my aunt up to assist daddy. I also told her to wake mummy up to come and help daddy but she said that mummy was not responding. When I went inside and flashed my torchlight at her, I saw that the bed she laid on was socked with blood. On closer observation, I discovered a deep cut on her throat and passed out. Daddy initially said somebody broke into the room and killed mummy but we discovered that the gate was locked. Later he said I was the one that killed my mummy. How can I kill a mother that has been playing the role of a father to us?. She was even sponsoring my elder brother, Collins who just gained admission into the University. She was the bread winner. Twice, we have been sent packing by our landlords at Michael and Banjoko streets because daddy could not pay the rent. Why would anyone think of killing such person? “, he asked, crying.

A relative of the deceased, Feronica Imomoh, revealed that Jafairu had previously accused his wife of cheating on him.
“Our family had warned him to stop beating my sister. He does not have any job, she was the one feeding him and paying the rent.
Anytime she collected gifts from her relatives, he would quarrel with her, accusing her of sleeping with men. There was a time he took him to our village in Edo State to swear before a shrine that she was not cheating on him. Just yesterday (Thursday) he demanded N10, 000 from her. She promised to raise the money by borrowing from her friends”.
Confirming the incident, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Chukwuma Ozoani said:”It was a murder case and the husband was suspected to be under the influence of drug. The case has been transferred to the SCID and investigation has commenced.” See graphic photo of the deceased below...

'Even When Barca Win A Trophy They Talk About Me, Right Or Wrong They Always Think AAbout Me' - Cristiano Ronaldo

Portugal and Real Madrid forward - Cristiano Ronaldo was flattered by Barcelona's Gerard Pique's mimicking when Barca celebrated their La Liga win and has taunted them by saying they always talk about him even when they win.

Pique played alongside Ronaldo at Manchester United, winning a Premier League and Champions League double in the 2007-08 season but taunted the Portuguese football star by copying Ronaldo's pose from an infamous post match picture.

 When Ronaldo was asked about pique in an interview with La Sezta's Jugones, he said;
' Even when they win a trophy they talk of Cristiano. Right or wrong they think of Cristiano and talk about me, but I have no problem with Pique.

Ronaldo also said that while he was disappointed not to win the European Golden Shoe award, he felt that Luis Suarez was deserving.

The Barcelona striker scored a remarkable 40 league goals for the La Liga champions -- five more than rival Ronaldo, who won the prize last season.

"That is part of it, of course I am frustrated but I wasn't obsessed," he said. "I let things flow this year. Suarez played very well. He scored eight goals in two games. He had an excellent season and he deserved it."
