Annabell Mbock-- My Experience at the NYSC Headquarters Abuja

Dear, AMB readers am sorry i have been away for days now. Hymmmmm e no easy oooo so i came back to Naija with the intention to serve my country, i got to Lagos and was told all international students register in Abuja. LOL. AMB readers we need to pray for Nigeria everything is complicated in this country. I got there and I was asked if i had registered online, and i said no. anyways that was my fault i should have done that before getting there, they sent me across the street to a cyber cafe where only one system(computer) was available and more than 200 hundred international students waiting to register chaiiiii naija ........

After i registered i went back to the NYSC building only to find a very long queue...... and trust me we queued under the sun for hours just to sign into the building. Finally that was over and i got into the building and yet another queue for sign up at this point i was getting frustrated, angry and the weather wasn't helping.

After the final sign up, they sent me to the first floor on getting there the security woman in charge of calling numbers gave me a ridiculous no of 120. This time i was really going to scream from my lungs, the crowd was much and when it was 4 pm they asked us to come back the next day, but why.......

The next day was on Thursday i got back there and instead of picking up from where they stopped they gave me another ridiculous no 90 at this point i was beginning to realize there is little or nothing i can do about this situation, so i sat down quietly waiting, thank God for blackberry i took the opportunity to chat with peeps Until my battery died and i became impatient

The security lady must have recognized me, she walked up to me and called me out i was excited that luck has finally shined on me , she took me to a corner and the shocker came out..... she asked me for cash in other to move me up next on the queue hymmmmmmmmmmmm out of fear they might ask me to come back the next day i started negotiating with the security lady.... after a long talk i gave her the cash (#5000 Naira) two minutes later she stood up and screamed "hey sister the Oga dey call you ooooooo" i stood gently because at this point all eyes where on me i could feel some people in their heart saying was so special about this gal sef , the truth is my money was special lol she took me straight to the office for verification ......... TO BE CONTINUED
