It was an evening filled with thrills and glamor and reunion as young Akwa Ibomites under the aegis of Akwa Ibom Young Professionals Leadership Initiative (Ak-Pro) met at the prestigious Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday to parley with Professionals of Akwa Ibom State extraction and discuss why they need to be involved in the political process of the state.
The event which had papers on various topics presented by notable personalities from within and outside the state climaxed with the adoption and presentation of the State's Chief Scribe, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the group's sole candidate for the Hilltop Mansion come 2015 by the Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Mineral Resources, Prince Enobong Uwah.
