BREAKING NEWS!!! Stephen Keshi Returns as Super Eagles Coach

Nigeria Football Federation has re-appointed Stephen Keshi as the head coach of the national team. Stephen Keshi was initially sacked on October 16th and 2 weeks after he is back at the helm of the national team.

Sacked coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has returned to the team ahead of next month’s Nations Cup qualifiers. Toyin Ibitoye, the media officer of the Super Eagles, made the announcement on Thursday morning via Twitter. The move was reportedly orchestrated by President Goodluck Jonathan, who doesn’t want the nation to get banned by FIFA. President Jonathan is also said to have asked the faction of Chris Giwa to withdraw its case from court.

Keshi was relieved of his job on October 16, a day after the Super Eagles defeated Sudan 3-1 in Abuja, by the Amaju Pinnick-led board of the NFF who re-called former coach Shaibu Amodu in an interim capacity.
